Moving from San Diego to Long Beach!

Hey all,

After 7 years in San Diego, I found a place in Long Beach that I couldn't pass up.

4 CAR GARAGE

Need I say more?

Going to have an epic Porsche housewarming. If you are in the area, drop me a hello here so we can connect once I'm up there. Will be moving there at the beginning of March 2020.

Here are a couple of concepts I have played with:










I want it to be a garage, but also an event space. I'll have a bar, a projector for movies on the wall, and lots of other fun stuff.

I like the second picture in the concept phase.

Welcome to LB. You must have had a really small garage in SD to make this kind of switch.

Given the floor state I'd consider race deck tiling, checked pattern. Not cheap for 4 car bays though... Probably $3000 or so.. Again, congrats, and nice ideas about the wall deco. Let us know where you get it made ?

Thanks. I'm not a race deck fan, and I'm definitely not a checkerboard fan. I'm going to do some sort of dark gloss grey epoxy. I was just on the phone with the guy today, so hopefully we can get it done!

Yea, I'd been thinking about OC/LA for a couple of years now. So I'll be in the thick of things now.

Fun project! San Diego doesn't suck but there are reasons to be in Long Beach. Like anywhere there is good and bad so seek out the good.

I hate to do it but we are currently selling our beach condo in O-side. A nice place and excellent location but just being under-utilized. I will surely kick myself when it is gone.

I would do a Tony Stark style man lab/ couch/ fridge/ workbenches/ TV/ and cars.
