Try to call a beauty supply place. They may have what you're looking for. My local places do.

True, but there are other people in the school, and kids can be vectors. Though you have to wonder where those kids are going to go if not in school. Difficult call, I think the UK is saying not to close the schools.

Correct , schools going ahead as per normal, I'm sure they will close at some stage, maybe have a longer Easter break

My son's Law School is on the same path. He is 3L so he has no issues...happy actually. The last few months of law school are apparently virtual worthy.

We all know 80,000 people died in 2017 - 18 in the US from the Flu, but I like the precautions.

This a legal risk debate, not a real pragmatic discussion in the world in general.

The company I work at now is effectively balancing out the fact that many jobs cannot be done remotely and that the company will be crippled for a while if everyone has to stay home against the legal risk that someone in the company gets the bug, dies and then the estate sues the company for not taking proper precautions.....considering the WHO and various organizations have declared this a pandemic so the company cannot claim the were not informed of the risk.

Which facts?

1). The USA is the least-affected so far.
2). Any contagion will affect the international ports of entry first. The few coastal cities and borders.
3). In a week, or a month, we will all understand everything the CDC now understands.

Panic and caution is a good thing at this point.
But it is not an end-game catastrophe. Nor the first or last.

Those are observations more than facts. At any rate, I'm not arguing that facts don't exist, only that the poster I was addressing has never posted a fact on this forum during my time here, which is 19 years and counting.

Pretty much, think I have mentioned this in another thread.

I have noticed that it's an election year in China, South Korea, Italy. And many other countries around the world it turns out.

Who knew? :D:D:D

This... Probably the biggest change right now but there are lots of people wearing masks in the city and on public transport. (Mostly Asians)

Covid-19 started in, wait for it...'19.

The virus isn't BS but that "doctor" is talking through his ass. No one knows the contagion factor, (whatever the fk that means), or the mortality rate yet. We are in the early stages of a pandemic. As in, worldwide.

I'm sorry that your business is down but people are dying. Things are bad all over, tough schit. Stop listening to right wing BS and stay safe. Viruses don't care if you listen to Rush Limbaugh, they'll kill you anyway.

Somewhere between Speeder and Racer lies reality.

Are you saying viruses do care about your radio listening habits? And that it's an election year around the globe? I think Italian elections aren't for a couple of years. Will have to check other countries' election cycles.

How would you know what reality is, wrt to this pandemic? Fox News keeping you up to the minute?

I listen to what the WHO and the CDC have to say. If you have the answer to all of the unknowns, (according to them), please share. This is no time for PARF stupidity, people want the answers. Guessing ain't going to cut it. :)

Local burger chain--really quiet.

Hospital is beginning to restrict employee travel for work.

Local stock broker--started calling at DJIA 27K trying to sell for this "correction"

Eastern Robins calling in the AM.

speeder 03-12-2020 03:37 PM

Stock broker is an ass hole profession. They are not your friends.
