Mine have now become tattered and I was looking at replacements.

Sorry for the confusion. By “current” I meant a new, contemporary 50 star flag, not the specific flag on your flag pole.

That presumption is completely in your head. I asked a fairly simple question and you heaped your own implications onto it. I just ask why he chose the 13 star flag vs the current flag. I have no idea why you got your panties in a wad over that.

Silly of me to read what you say and jump to the conclusion that you meant to say what you typed.

It is almost like you are reading a different thread than everyone else.

I read it as "what's wrong with replacing it with the current variant".

Why does something have to "be wrong" when someone is thinking about doing something different?

Don't you know, that being different attracts unwanted attention?

And that is what I meant.

My $.02 is on your personal property, fly whatever sort of flag you want to. I does not bother me.

It does make a difference on government property however. I'm wondering why the U.S. Post Office across the street from me flys the MIA POW flag under the USA flag. It looks to me as though they're taking personal liberties a bit.

Prominent federal buildings and national war memorials will now fly the iconic POW/MIA flag alongside the American flag throughout the year thanks to legislation signed into law Thursday.

The proposal, passed without objection in the House last month and the Senate earlier this year, is designed to help highlight the continued sacrifice of military families whose loved ones are still unaccounted for overseas, estimated at about 82,000 individuals. President Donald Trump finalized the measure on Thursday night.

^ OK that makes sense now! Fantastic, thanks!

New flags arrived late yesterday and were promptly raised to their proper place of prominence here at Bazzaland.....

I elected (for now) to save Betsy for Independence Day....;)

The new flag pole should be here this week too so I can get them up even higher! :p

Thanks again for all the input.....SmileWavy

My Sicilian grandfather used to say "only dead fish swim with the current".
