Installed my Cl10v3 two post lift a few weeks ago. Life is DEFINITELY better with a lift.

Phase 3 of our home purchase/remodel was to replace and enlarge the old pool decks, re-plaster the actual pool and move and upgrade the 30 year old pool equipment. But before that work could begin, I felt I had to deal with some problem stone walls.

These walls surround the pool on two sides, and are fairly traditional in this part of CA. Unfortunately, ours have fallen/caved in over the 18 months since we moved here, and had evidently done so in the past as well.

It kills me to get rid of these, but we do have several even longer ones we plan to repair. I have even found someone to do the work, but I had to agree to keep all the stone until he was done... Stay tuned!

Luckily, my company owns a fleet of skip loaders, and I had the free use of a prtotype mini excavator. Regardless, it really came down to my guys and I working steadily for 3 days, with my wife helping me cleanup on day 4. Phew. We moved TONS of rocks!

Hahaha - right? The rocks around here have been rounded through thousands (millions?) of years of washing down from the mountains just north of us, settling in what they here call an alluvial plane. Having spent my whole life here, we just call it rocky soil...

And I don't know about your project, but despite having modern equipment at the ready, most of the time we just couldn't get around the fact that it was simple man-power that did the bulk of the work. Go figure...

I like it! You would not believe how much the old metal JD carts go for in these parts, if and when you can find one. Beat units go for $275+. Nice ones another $200........

I've come to the point of taking the generic cart I have, painting it JD green and putting on the JF stripes / lettering to match my 430......

That is an excellent restoration, really very well done sir! You should be proud of that preserving modern history. I'm betting it didn't look quite that good when on the showroom floor - bravo!

I made a watering cart for my garden last week.
The problem: drip watering to orchard trees that are 200 feet from the nearest spigot and random garden watering where dragging the hose to the plants takes longer than the actual watering.

I got this 12 volt pump from Amazon for $15. Made a filter from a piece of Koi pond filter. I cut a piece out of the lid of an old storage tote to mount it on.

The switch is in a plastic device box. I used a fish tank hose throttle to throttle the water flow down to 1 gallon every 4 minutes.

Zip tied the hose to stick to make it easy to place and heavy enough that it stays where I put it.

Making progress on my little car been working on since the covid started. sofar all just scrap i had laying around. Its not really the ideal drivetrain but i pieced together what i had. Going for something like a mg j2. Its a kawasaki 18hp twin vertical shaft i converted to horizontal. Going through a torque converter to a dirtbike gearbox and to a morris rear end I think its a 1957 mg not sure. I went with a transverse leaf in front. I want big spoked wheels on it probably make my own out of spare tires because motorcycle wheels id have to make my own hubs anyway. Just for offroad fun

Decided to get an Ebike and get back on 2 wheels again. Spent today putting it together. Lots of fun for an old man who can no longer do hills without some help. Riding on throttle alone reminds me of trail riding way back in the 70's. Definitely puts a smile on my face in these tough times.

Redid the laundry room. Before and after.
The faucet is awesome for filling and rinsing stuff.
Longest job was cutting in horizontal 2x4s for the wall cabinets.

Made a tool caddy box that sort of looks like a mini horse stall in the corner. 100 percent scrap wood, so most of the scrap wood pile is gone too.

Also put in a header on the adjacent opening.

Tools are still piled up in the corner, but at least now they are not migrating into the walkable path as there is a 2x4 stop at the bottom.

Used up a few hangers and hooks too.
