Will be mounting a Antigravity battery in the Panamera as well as a battery monitor.
Then of course reprogramming everything... |
I guess I did sand and re-coat a reclaimed oak dinner table project just now.
Big honey do list getting smaller. |
I made that little cushion with leftover leather for my home office chair, since I am spending 8 hours/day on that chair working from home now. I may order a more comfy chair form staples further down the road, but the one I liked was unavailable, high demand yada yada, so this will do for now.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584913132.jpg

Not virus so much as ongoing Rat Rod build. I completely redid the original seat but with a modern twist. It used to be a farm truck, so you can imagine what that looked like after 64 years. They were made with burlap, horse hair and cotton wadding.
After disassembly, the frames / springs were sandblasted then I had to repair/ replace smaller springs obtained from the local hardware store. Then I reinforced all those springs with criss cross wire to really stiffen them up. Then paint, use dense foam and then glue pieces, shave that so to feel / look like a modern seat. I had a shop do the original upholstery in a modern tan with contrasting piping / stitching. I added 2 custom "V" medallions and inset them. A lot of work.............but turned out OK. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584914259.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584914259.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584914259.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584914259.jpg |
I will drive to the shop under the guise of being a critical auto repair facility and work on this 65 International. For other than "super" customers, I will tell them in respect of the Governor's request, I am curtailing business for a couple weeks. In short, leave me alone.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584915945.jpg In appreciation of asphaltgambler's fine job of seat work, the truck owner had his seats done in Real Tree. $900 and I bet not near the job of pics posted above. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584916124.jpg |

Self-isolation in the shop. In the middle of front brake and new hub bearings and seals. One side down and one to go! Also finishing new clutch cable replacement with all new related parts and refurb pedal box with parts from our host!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584917754.jpg

Some of you guys definitely have me beat. Today was more walk repair in the hallway and finally installing a permanent 20A feed to my lift and air compressor. I’ve had a cord laying on the ground as my “temporary” wiring for about 4 years.:)
|
Wow, I'm totally stomped over how productive you guys are. Right now I don't even have a car to work on. Instead, I'm about to replace the LCD digitizer on a decade old iPhone 4, just to see if I can success. No photos since the replacement screen has yet to arrive, by mail. So small screws and my fat sausage fingers. Bad match.

Did a 3 hour detail on Mrs. Beard's BMW. Pretty disappointed with the material selection/build quality on many of the internal components. Even shampooed the carpets. Looks really good!
|
Did SRTU’s, primed and painted all the walks on the first floor. Stairs and second floor next weekend.
I hope to install a custom trans tube/dipstick in the 14 F150 next weekend. Ford stopped installing them years ago to save $.10 each. |
Cleaned out all the gutters which made a mess of the drive and walkways, cleaned those off with my trusty blower.
Finished rebuilding the clutch Master cylinder and bled the system on my big brother's VF750F Interceptor. Walked 2 miles uphill both ways to the local Safeway for salad fixins with my sweet wife. (parking lot only half full on a Sunday afternoon, found what we needed and it seemed like the shelves were all pretty well stocked) Fixed and had dinner, let it settle- I'm headed down to the man cave/shop/gym to do come lifting shortly. Oh yeah- I posted a bunch of stuff on Pelican Parts forums and did my part to gum up the internet. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1584933856.jpg |
Inspected the brakes on my Tacoma. Adjusted the parking brake and strained to lift the tires to remount them . I’m so sore right now.

You guys are getting things done! It's been too cold and/or wet to do anything outside, but I did get a couple of projects taken care of. Both have priorities for MrsWD for the past 2 years.
We took some cabinet bases out in early 2018, just after we moved in. I finally got around to installing some tile in the space it left. I still have to fill the seams and nail in a new piece of baseboard. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585315928.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585315928.jpg The space above and behind the washer and dryer was ugly and things kept falling back there. MrsWD as been complaining about it for 2 years. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585315928.jpg I made a shelf, 7 1/2" deep, 53" long, with a 6" panel to close the front. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585315928.jpg The shelf had to be easily removable, so I ripped a 2x4 down to make a French Cleat to hang the shelf on. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1585315928.jpg All done! |
Refinished the entry hallway wall and repainted, still have a little trim fixing to do today. Yesterday cleaned the hell out of the inner barrels of the E63 summer wheels and mounted them, figure I’m safe without my winter tires now.

Needed steps for a recent hot tub purchase.

Not so out of the ordinary as every couple of months my wife wants pictures taken of the quilts she's made. Turned the living room into a 'studio' yesterday to photo 4 quilts she's finished up this year.
