My mulch project is complete. It took 100 cf in the front yard. I had calculated 120 cf. Did you know that when you put mulch in your yard, it doesn't need to be put where the bushes are!? Haha! Not a big deal, there is more space in the back that will benefit from mulch.

I must say, without CV I would not have taken the time to do this plus I would have driven and gotten maybe 25% of the mulch I ordered. Since I paid for home delivery, I figured I'll do it right and order enough to spread it 3+" thick!

Next project, on the same truck delivery is a vegetable garden. Doing a 4x8 raised bed and a few rows of potatoes and corn. If the shelter in place continues, I may even do irrigation for it. Currently the plan is for hand watering by my enthusiastic gardening family. (I am not a gardener, I hunt and maybe gather).

Just ordered a new Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD upgrade for the old MacBook Pro and a kick-ass iFix it tool kit. Been wanting to upgrade for a long time but prices have dropped. When everything arrives, I will see if I can upgrade properly or blow something up by screwing it up.

I was looking for a non P-car project and decided to build a bike for the first time. I wanted Honda CB and found an 1980 CB 750 F super sport. It was all in boxes just like I like my projects. Clean slate to start with. I’m going to build a cafe racer style bike. Already started cutting and modifying frame. The cool thing was as I was looking for a bike I stumbled across the next project...

Just finished my cup holder project for the boat - needed something that would fit between the rod holders.

Made a fiberglass tube that would fit a can with a koozie - than fiberglassed some support feet where I could zip tie it

More for me, I pulled the faded black door handles and keyless entry keypad from my 2008 F250 and painted them, HUGE improvement. The faded black plastic really dated the truck. Then today I did the oil in the diffs and transfer case. Eff Ford for not including a drain plug in the diffs forcing you to pull the covers. What did that save, $0.50 per truck?

We get 15 yards every 2 years. I barrow it to where it’s needed and it’s a long day. The last lot we had had artillery fungus in it. The spots are murder to get off things, so just keep an eye out for little brown dots...

Clay bared and waxed the Mrs dark, dark blue 2014 A6 hooptie. She loved the super dark color, but all I saw was lots of work to maintain and man was I right.

Installed a transmission dipstick to my 2014 F150. This was after installing a transmission pan with a drain plug. As OWP said, it saved $.50....

I decided to redo my garage. Now I can finally use my lift! Yay. Plus, moved from 5 spaces to 8 spaces...once I purchase 2 more lifts :)

It came out great, and now, once I finish organizing the garage, I plan to drop the engine and begin my complete engine rebuild. I really want to replace the crank shaft seals, tired of all the oil on my floors!

I sent the Cad into the shop to get the front clip reshot with clear bra, of course before the threat of Covid, project measured in $k's

Then trans in PU decides to take a dump, while Cad is in shop and now Covid is causing layoffs. Also in $k's

That's my project. Stress. LOL.

I'm still going to work but I got this done the other day. I think it still counts as a virus project:
Warmoth chambered strat body
Warmoth short-scale conversion neck
P90 pickups from an Ibanez I think
Jatoba pickguard
Blend knob, no pickup selector switch
Not shown here but I made a jatoba knob for the whammy bar too.
It is now known as the 'Muttcaster'.

I installed a central vacuum system in the house 25 years ago when we moved in. The motor was to the point it would overheat and the thermal protection circuit breaker would pop after 15 minutes of work.

So out with the old, in the the new. Just snip the zip tie, cut the crimped on factory wire nuts, remove three bolts, and wiggle it out of the enclosure.

The wires are pretty easy to remember, black to black, white to white, and green is ground. It was weird to have a project like this that went smooth and easy. No surprises, no challenges. Usually my projects start with a toilet flap replacement but end up with the total gut and rebuild of the bathroom.

Just ordered some Kaisen foam, planning to start organizing my toolboxes. Wish it would stop snowing so I can get some work done on the cars. Will post the tool box cleanup once done

Cool. I bought a $100. Telecaster kit that I thought I could start building ...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1586825565.jpg

... but my wife & I suddenly changed course yesterday, and decided to start packing up boxes of non-essentials that we will transport to our retirement home in AZ when the C-19 crisis eases up.

Packed up all my scale models, R/C toys (cars, helicopters & quads/'drones') and started on my old tube radio collection, wife is packing up her china & ceramic bird collection ...

I’m going to the store tonight to pick out a new keg, does that count?

cabmandone 04-15-2020 09:22 AM

No Matt! That does not count as bringing about world peace. One must give of ones self in order to bring about world peace. That's why I'm brewing! It's a selfless thing to do!!

onewhippedpuppy 04-15-2020 09:23 AM

Damn. Well it makes me peaceful. So that’s a start.

cabmandone 04-15-2020 09:33 AM

These are the Hallertau hops and this is the wort made of 18 lbs of base malt, 2 lbs of munich malt and 1 lb of white wheat that will bring about world peace!

Looks great.

It also reminds me that I need to finish cutting and installing all the trim from the front porch remodel we did last year.

Does this count? I also picked up a 1/6 barrel of a local wheat yesterday. Shelter in place!:D

This must be the single most cost efficient Porsche parts purchase EVER at $189 with our PCA discount! While I was in there, it was time to clean-up under the fender liners and around the rads.

Same. But waiting on a few parts from Pelican to button her up and back on the ground. (Headlight level sensor strut support, speed nut and fender liner screw.) Ordered Sunday, 4/12. But will ship on weds 4/20 supposedly. But it's pretty obvious that they are having a hard time finding the headlight level sensor strut support. Sigh...

Having our Son with us has been fantastic, he's done lots of outdoor projects up till he went to Prague and taught English for 4 months.
I've always got projects lined up so first up was the mighty Laurel.

Did that so a major thatchery could happen... 2 passes on the front yard, 3 in back and much raking ensued. Turns out we are still a good team.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1587158504.jpg

Good God what have we done?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1587158504.jpg

Then he seeded, fertilized and put down a light coat of peat moss.
Get rid of one moss, put another down.
This was 2 days ago, my shoulders are still a bit sore.

We will finish the neighbors side up with a 37" extension on the Stihl hedge trimmer once the yard has grown in sufficiently.
(Thought we could get it from neighbors yard- nope)
