Wow that looks like work Skip!

I moved on to my teenager’s car, I did the front and rear diff oil, transfer case, and bled the brakes. Think they needed it?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1587174827.jpg

I’ve been finishing the backyard landscaping .
I put in a boardwalk along the Koi Pond.

And I started the tile for the original and patio expansion. I knew I would never match the original color so planned on covering both with tile.
It’s pretty bold but I think it will look better after all the furniture is installed.

No I removed the electric wires and fished a 1/4” line up from my basement

This is my 60yr old gas light in front yard. Last year I totally disassembled it sandblasted and repainted. It used to have a mantle style burner, I converted it to open flame

Wife wants some minor landscape work done around the house. Wheelbarrow behind the garden shed was in bad shape. after 30 years of use it needs some attention
At the very least some new handles. I have lots of Oak remnants.

Now To get a hardware store visit or online purchase of new bolts to put it back together

URY914 04-19-2020 02:27 PM

I moved and re-piped the water heater. First step in building a new laundry room for Mrs. URY. Not really worth a picture. And besides someone will point out a did something wrong.

That is very cool. And very similar in manufacture as ones I recently installed (although not during covid):

These were made in Louisiana by a company called Flamebeaux.

plumb4u2 04-20-2020 06:48 PM

Mine is made by “Primo” which is also from Louisiana. Louisiana is the hot bed capital for gas lighting

onewhippedpuppy 04-21-2020 12:31 PM

That gas light is seriously cool. I’ve never seen one before.

I had a couple of old hollow core doors that were laying around that I’ve been using as tables. I decided to cut one into two parts to use for large ‘canvases’ for a couple of large paintings. Below is a pastoral scene that is 42” x 30.” I’ll probably start on the ‘smaller’ panel soon. Not yet sure what it will be.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1587505851.jpg

In the process of redoing my office - had a leak from previous windows that stained the cork floors

and added some PVC panels for a accent wall... (The shelf has my router and server that I temporarily installed high so I wouldn't hit my head on it)

Those wall panels look great. MrsWD would never let me do anything like that. :(

1979-930 04-22-2020 09:05 AM

Ditto. The wall panels are cool.
My daughter wanted a white wood wall behind her bed. I cheated and used the thin vinyl plank flooring.
Cheap and easy!

^^^^^ Great idea. Did you do any kind of boarder along the edges ?

Thank you.
No border. They are only like a 1/4" thick; maybe less. You could easily put a thin trim piece on it.
I nailed them to the wall with a brad nailer

wdfifteen 04-27-2020 04:09 PM

Over the past week I took MrsWD's POS garden cart and gave it two coats of rusty metal primer and two coats of black. It doesn't work any better, but it looks nice.

Stained, cut, and nailed in the baseboard and door casing for the media room. I did the other side of the wall a couple of weeks ago. Photos of that ordeal are above in this thread.
