These things aren’t selling. I got a leftover 21 model. The dealership was very willing to negotiate. Your local shop probably is as well. I think a few decades from now guys will regret not getting one.

Early impression, the straight line acceleration is awesome. Faster than my R1100S.

They do nothing for me and I've seen several on the lot at the local BMW dealer. No thanks. I'm casually looking to get back onto a GS, one of the new ones, but they are very hard to come by.

Loved my GS. But the new ones are too heavy for serious adventuring. Too complicated. Too expensive.

The R18 is a cruiser with overkill styling and performance. I know it’s not for everyone. That makes it even better.

I kind of want back onto a GS to force myself to behave better. My current bike just makes me want to be a hooligan and take too many risks. I've never once gotten on it and not taken it to triple digit speeds, not once. I was thinking maybe an XR, which is the same engine, but asks to be taken offroad a bit. GS's are no slouch, but not nearly as fast as the SKR.

If you haven't really ridden the new 1250, You might be alittle surprised. It has alot more torque then the XR. When chasing my buddy on a newer Multistrada, thru really tight 1st and 2nd gear turns, he can not pull away from the GS. In fact. The 1250 actually has more torque then the new V4 Multistradas as well. On really tight roads, I can ride it quicker then my HP4....

What's serious Adventuring? I've got 30K on my GSA. I'd say 20K of that has been offroad. So far zero problems and I've treated it and taken it places like I hate it. Admittedly, since I bought the KTM it's now the primary adventure bike, but the GS is a keeper.
