Is that exit for the airport ? That would have made it perfect . Good job by the pilot .

It's good to see him pull off diagonally to not block all the lanes from passing him, creating a huge road block. Took some guts/skill to put it down in between the poles, and overhead road signs.

He will probably get a photo-radar speeding ticket within a week.

That was a nice landing!
I am surprised that the drivers allowed him to merge into traffic so easily...

If that was jersey people would have been leaning on their horns and throwing beer cans at him.

Skill yea, but it was not guts. He did not land there for fun, he had some issue that forced his landing. Since most incidents are pilot error, it is likely this one is too.

It was nice to not hear a long string of profanity and stupid comments on the video. I guess the Canadian version of the FAA will figure out what happened.

Motor still turning wasn't it and the landing was very controlled so I wonder if he was too low on gas to find a better spot to land that Cherokee

An aviation site I'm on has more info.
Mechanical issue with the engine left him with partial power. Not enough to maintain flight.

Just anther day on the freeway. Once every couple to 3 of years it happens where I live, a mile from the end of the general aviation runway.

Look at those two A-holes tailgating the plane, as if they are in a major hurry.
I would love to pull them out of their car, kick their ****ing teeth in, and ask if they are still in such a hurry.

^^^ Huh...the first thing I thought of when viewing was that the two cars were providing blocking for the plane to land.
Different perspective I guess.

Hard to tell from the camera angle how far behind the plane the two cars were.

No they were about 10ft away.

Determination is no longer a factor.

The plane does let out quite a bit of black exhaust when early in the video..

Tailgating, seriously?....kicking teeth in WTF...

And in some places in NY (like near Kennedy Airport) they would have jumped out of their car and stolen the wheels and tires.
