Best app for custom route and voice turn by turn

I want an app that I can pre-select my fun drives and have it provide me voice turn by turn so I end-up hitting the roads I actually want to.

I found "Scenic" and it does exactly that. They allow you a trial period - seems to work pretty good but trial is ending and subscription is a little steep. So before I sign up just wanted to see if anyone is using anything better or cheaper.

If you know the route you want to take, you can use Google Maps on a PC with a larger screen, drag the route to the roads you want and then send it to your phone.
