Best time to call Dell CS — late.

A sound driver somehow got corrupted on my new desk top I got for doing video work. (I started a YT channel). Called last night at 7 pm and I got a tech in India in less than a minute. 8 am his time. He had all the time in the world and we even were discussing his like of AC/DC and Metallica. I was testing the sound playing Rolling Stones' "Start Me Up" and of course he could hear it through the phone connection.

I had to kinda let it go so I could get some dinner. I think he would have talked until another call come in. All in all, we were on the phone for a half hour while he fixed the issue shadowing. I don't mind that. It's new and nothing on it.

And that might not even be an issue, IDK.

And just like that when another issue pops up regarding all the siht they downloaded to my SSD filling it up to where I can't download a birthday card w/o a message that there is no capacity, they kick me to the curb and tell me to pay 99 bucks to talk again. They filled it up with downloads and reports of errors to MS. I couldn't give a crying fvk about error reports and taking up 350 MB of a 500 MB SSD while not one fooking file has ever been placed on the 1 terabyte HD.

YOU guys could fix that in less than a minute but I paid Dell for a computer that works. They kick me to the curb so

I'm going to fill the tower full of dog siht and leave the fucher at Michael Dell's front door.

He's in TX, right?

Make that possum siht.

I refer to Dell customer service as Dell Hell.
1) Techs who know less than I do and their answer for everything is format the HD.
2) I tried to get them to provide what a salesman on the phone promised me when I ordered my system. Two different promises. They shut me down on both issues requested at different times. Refused to pull the call and see if I was lied to. No way to talk to someone in corporate (or at least in the US) to escalate a complaint. I wrote a letter to the corporate office and get a call from India. I told them I wanted to speak to someone in the US and they said I can NOT. They made no offer of any kind to satisfy me. Not even a token gift certificate toward purchasing other products from them. I refuse to buy anything else from them.

The best time to call Dell? When Hades freezes over.

Agreed. Too late. Maybe I'll just do that — format the SSD and install Linux. I just did that with an old laptop and it's working fine. Windows died on it big time.

I'll start a new thread on how to partition or something so that all the downloads go to the HD and not the SSD. Maybe the Linux forums have that covered.
