What is Your Dream Car?

So...what is your dream car? We all have one at least, maybe even a few.

Was it dad's or grandpa's 58' Eldorado to own from new? Maybe you're into something a bit smaller like an original Gullwing? Or maybe a F40?

Tell us what your absolute dream car(s) are - and don't say that you already own it, everyone has that one unattainable...

I think mine would have to be a 30s Duesenberg - like that SJ Beverly.

I wouldn't say no to a Toyota 2000 GT

But the Porsches I've had (4) past and present did the trick for me. Mostly the perfect car. Easy to live with IMO..

It hasn't been created yet, tho I heard that Gordon Murray was working on something similar.

I could settle for a 250 Lusso however.

Mine was always a 911 (me on my 4th birthday: I'm going to save my pennies and buy a Porsche). Done! A 2002 (Inka orange roundie tii was the version I literally dreamed about) came second. By now I'd probably rank a Citroen DS about equal to the 2002. Attainable dreams, relatively speaking. I know there are other cars I'd love to try that are not so attainable, but I'm happy to focus on the ones I might could own one day.

I love my Porsche and wouldn't want to give it up, but my all time dream car has always been this:

My 85 911 is dang near perfection.

So a 1989 930 Grand Prix White, burgundy interior with no sunroof and the AC upgrade from Griffith's like mine has. Unfortunately I have the sunroof, and no turbo. And no, I will not butcher up my car with a turbo engine and fender flairs.

Number one is a real Porsche 917. Number two is a Ferrari Enzo. Number three is the current latest 911 turbo cab in red. Honorable mention are a Mercedes gull wing (1955-ish) and a 55 Ford Thunderbird convertible with the continental tire on the back.

Had my dream car...shipped it off to Istanbul 15 years ago. Don't want it back. I had my decades of fun, now it's somebody else's turn.

Sad in a way, but today, there's no car out there that makes me think "I want that".

You guys all have great taste.
I do maintain a list. I keep it in ‘notes’ on my phone - I guess so that in case I fall on my head, I will be able to recall what I liked before said closed head injury.

At the top of that list are:
1. Miura SC
2. Gullwing
3. Toyota 2000GT

There are quite a few others in the list - but those are the top dream cars for that “money is no issue” situation that is just around the corner.

I have a different list to correlate to a realistic (and unlikely) windfall of fewer millions of dollars.

It’s fun to dream, isn’t it???

Then you want a '56 T bird...'55 had no continental kit. Henry Ford made the order when he discovered the spare in the trunk of the '55 prevented him from carrying his golf clubs.

Dreams come and go, but the Series 1 Jag XKE FHC has always been on my list, from childhood.
