Godspeed! Not a fan of Tesla or Musk, but I’m a huge Fan of the USA. Hope all goes smoothly and we can reestablish our leadership in manned space exploration.

Don’t care to give the Russians $75 million per astronaut to go to the ISS, which was mostly assembled using the Space Shuttle heavy lift. Apparently the last ride the Russians gave us cost $90 million.

Nice. How cool would that be?

Saw the shuttle after re-entry over Houston around 2000. "Exhaust" plume was orange and it was hauling. Next day folks watching the news said they were told to check it out, they saw it, went back inside the house and it was landing.

I didn't know what it was.

From what I have read.....the shoe will be on the other foot at some point and they will be getting rides from us!

The two biggest factors that will impact the decision to launch today are electrical energy in the area and bad weather at the abort sites.

I'd be more nervous that Musk was in charge of building it. I hope the quality control is better than the Tesla 3.

Less than an hour to go.

It will be interesting to see how well the touch screen displays work under the vibration of launch. I have tried to use the touch screen in my wife's Macan she drove. When a bump is hit, it is really hard to push the right icon. I suspect they have to have a few real buttons and switches to make it easier under vibration. I feel sure the engineers have tried to simulate a rough ride.

The astronaut they just had on Discovery said the ride on this rocket is a lot smoother than that of the Shuttle. He said the solids on it were really rough. We'll see.
