Yes, she actually did this

My wife, gets an email a few days ago with Zoom link for a meeting with our estate attorney.

She forwarded it to me.

She just walked into my office and asked if I had it.

Pull up email, quick search and there it is.

She says, "Great, can you forward that back to me?"

That's pure gold.

You shoulda stared blankly for a few seconds, twitched your eyes and in a monotone voice said "Request complete. Item in your Sent folder."

when i was in college, i had some friends visit. they stayed in a vintage hotel downtown. i went to pick them up.

i asked the front desk lady.

"can i call up to room 111?"
"sure, go and use the white courtesy phone over on that table"

i walk over there, and pick up the phone and i hear it ringing on the other end
i chit you not.
the lady at the front desk picked it up and said,

"hello, operator!"

hahhahah..i almost pissed myself.

My wife insists on "cleaning" things, so she frequently deletes emails, sent emails, text messages, etc...

It's entirely possible that she may not have had that link any more. It's also completely possible that it was in her "sent" box.

At a former place of employment the business owner was an intelligent man, but he was an analog man. He was in another state at the home office. We sent him an email with some technical questions. I kid you not, he printed the email, then went to one of the top technicians there and asked for the solution, he hand wrote the answers in the margins, and faxed it back to us!

We could not really decipher the answer, so we just sent the email to the guy that knew the answer, and he emailed the answer. We knew then to leave the owner out of the loop.

The answers were long string of coordinates and retyping them is just asking to have errors. Email is of course, copy and paste.

I am your wife.

My former Ops Officer when I was in the Navy who works for us now got a huge kick out of your thread.

years ago I worked with a guy who was a bit different.
He would not reply directly to an e-mail, he'd type out his response and hit print screen and paste a picture of his reply in his reply.
That way no one could edit what he said!
He always carried a notebook and wrote down everything he said during the day and who he said it to. Gotta have good records.
He also shuffled his feet. he said if you never lift your foot off the ground, you can't trip over anything.
He married and divorced the same woman three times.

There were many other things that could only be attributed to him but some of them were just weird.
He was awesome for the entertainment value, unless he was assigned to a project or team you were on.
If that ever happened, you'd be better off in the long run just turning in your resignation and moving on.

One day there was an explosion at the plant and we accounted for everyone except him.
After a while a security guard called and said right after the boom, he saw someone wiz past the main gate yelling EF-YOU EF-YOU EF-YOU, that might have been the guy we were looking for.

we never heard from him again but the stories still bring smiles.

You should have returned his red stapler, he needed it to finish the TPS reports on time.

LOL, I actually have one of those.
the story I heard was that swingline didn't actually make a red stapler but they got so many requests for one after the movie, they came out with a special edition.

Swingline did make red staplers, 60 years ago. My mother had one in the office.

A friend of ours, many years ago called the secretary where he worked and had her fax over a bunch of envelopes for his buddy.
