Logic?

Was out front a bit ago with the wife checking on our yard.

Landscaping truck comes down the street at an excessive speed and barely slows down to take the corner.

I call the business, a local one, owner lives in the community, leave a message asking them to slow down.

Owner calls me back and tries to defend himself, "I checked my GPS and the fastest I was going was 29, only 4 mph over the speed limit"

????????

The rest of the conversation did not go well.

Had a similar situ happen to me yesterday. Biking thru a few curves...an excavating truck comes from behind.
I'm hugging the 4" patch of asphalt on the side and there is a car coming towards us.
The dump truck flies past me while crossing the center-line. The oncoming car has no choice but to drive into the shoulder.
If the truck would have just let off the throttle for a few seconds...the car would have cleared both of us.
I'm surprised that the car didn't get pulled into the ditch because of the loose gravel.

Funny story, driving a long and a business (forget the type of business) pickup cuts me off and is driving like an ass. I called the number posted on the truck and a lady answers, I give her my displeasure and she apologizes profusely...turns out it's the drivers wife

I see the metro buses all the time 4' over the center line leaving 6'-7' between themselves and the cars parked on their side but no room between them and oncoming traffic. They then get mad when you stop on your own side since you can't get by and now they can't either.

One other time there was a "green" company truck was rolling coal every stop sign and when I contacted the company they said it was on the way for a tuneup. Sure, that is why he floored it every time. Must have been an Italian tuneup.
