I'm not, really, I'm not gonna do it, no matter what you all say.
me neither.

if that was the last Food Processor left on the planet, i would wire it "ON" and just plug it in when i needed it to to spin

Sorry RKD, we have enough 'yard art' in our back yard already. I don't need to contribute to that too.

I'm kind of surprised my wife has been willing to use the old machine as long as she had. I know the buttons have been a problem for many years. It finally just got to the point you couldn't get the 'pulse' one to work at all so out it went.
Macy's (she's a loyal customer there) sent her some 'incentive' money after a recent purchase so that helped on the new one. Then they sent, or rather gave her another $40 off once she ordered it. Guess the big Dept Stores are all hurting for sales. They still made money on it, given their markup, but that's OK with me. They need to live too, and besides, my wife is happy with her new machine and the ability to shop too.

We are replacing the wooden spindles on our deck rail with hog fence. We just took all the spindles of and I don't know what to do with them. Most people would take them to the dump, but I've got Scott's disease. The idea of just sending them to the landfill is stressing me out - literally causing me anxiety. I actually have a use in mind for some of them, but there are dozens and dozens of them.

I'd be taking a chop saw to them to cut off the raggedity ends and stack 'em up some place. You'll find a use for them as soon as you toss them out.

Close, but no cigar as they say. Ours was/is a 14 cup model so that won't work.

when i moved into my current house, there was a 4-5 month period i had to rent a storage unit. i got a 5x5 unit that was maybe 10 feet tall. i filled it with Tetris precision. i had zero space in 3d. mostly garage tools and stuff.

i moved in and moved out. the owner was telling me i am his worst type of customer. he said he has a lady that has a huge unit filled with half used tires. 18 years of rent!!! she is his best type of customer. i came and went as i needed something. she (tire-lady) was never seen, just a rent check monthly.

if i could do it over again, i would have bought a few rental storage lots. easy money..

people are hoarders. just toss the stuff, folks. take a load off.

I know a guy who has a storage space filled with mostly junk, stuff he doesn't really want but never got around to getting rid of. He's been paying rent on that space for over 10 years.
I guess it's easier for him to run up that credit card bill than to deal with the hassle.

Maybe that's how he builds up his frequent flyer miles rewards or what ever.

In college the blender died, the switch panel was so sticky buttons wouldn't work.............solution was to just bypass the switches and wire it directly. The wall plug was the on/off switch at full power.

wayyyyyyy better margaritas in turbo mode.

Noooooo chase after the garbage truck and retrieve it, then do CPR and microsurgery, restore that old FP to life . . . or, just go about your day, I'm not into waste and all that, but sometimes life is too short.

My wife did just make the comment that I was too worried about the buttons for someone else to use it, but not worried about it when she was using it.

I told her she just didn't complain loud enough about it before.
