I have found tri tip to generally have enough fat content that I don't need to add moisture with a marinade. Might be interesting to try.

Red Wine, Garlic, touch of a vinegar olive oil, salt and pepper .mostly for flavoring..

Around here where Tri Tip is King, if folks don't use just a garlic salt/ pepper rub I've seen them use this and variations of it. Tastes great!

i bought another Tri-Tip last night. i was just walking by and i saw a tiny section of one hunk poking out. it was way fattier than the rest. the lady lifted the top chunk and we both went, "OOOHHH!". simultaneously. it was kinda funny.

this tri-tip looked marbled like a Kobe beef. (i know it isnt even close)..so i snatched it up. i'm lighting the grill tonight for salmon, i'll grill up the TT for sandos.

True. I checked out the nutrition label. I don't mind salty once in a while. We'll see.
