Funny.
Damn that kid's a born natural racer. He knew "The line". |

Then the kid breaks his leg and the parents sue the homeowner.

Love it!
When my daughter was in the tricycle stage, I put some orange cones out on the driveway. She would weave in and out, shouting: "Autocross! Autocross!" |

Outstanding! In time it will be mentioned years down the road "never knew the guys name but remember when that guy had a track in his driveway". The legends and lore will grow just like the sandlot.

I had that guy. His name was Charlie. He was married, had no kids, and he still put up a basketball goal for us to use . God bless you Charlie.

Get off my lawn!
|
Great solution, but not really a problem in the first place.
My driveway is huge. It is wide enough to have two cars side by side. 4 cars car park on the part that is a ramp, and then the "parking" area can hold 3 parked cars. We had a neighbor kid riding his bike over from the other end of the neighborhood and used my ramp and parking area to do a lazy turn , and down the hill of the ramp to the sidewalk. I had no issue with it, except liability. I did not want him to skin his knee and the parents suing me. One time when his entire family was on a ride, I talked to his parents. They said boys will be boys, and skinned knees are part of growing up, and they said they are not the sue happy type. For a while I had tire marks from his bike on my parking lot. I did not care one bit. He finally got old enough to go out of the neighborhood on his own and he likely found more fun places to ride. ![]() This is the driveway and the garage area. You can't tell it has the elevation change from the street to the parking area.

Yes, just like the sandlot. Along with sandlot baseball there’ll be driveway motocross.

I had the same problem with the little girl who used to live up the street using our driveway as a turn around when she was learning how to ride her bike. I unfortunately waited too long before I asked her to stop using the driveway. She crashed into my new garage door leaving a nice dent in it. Had to live with that dent for a lot of years before I finally replaced that door.
