Don't you? You descend on any thread about the virus like a buzzard on a sick possum. Give it a rest. We know you have an agenda to peddle and we know what it is by now. We've heard it from you over and over and over. Just give it a rest for God's sake.

This has been explained to you before.

Why do you continue to post mis-information?
I bolded your claim. ^

I nicely explained why your claim is wrong

Again you INSISTED that This virus will not survive outside of a water droplet.

Are you incapable of admitting what you wrote was wrong?

Do you need more examples of this virus living outside a water droplet? Or would that further fuel your incoherent rage?

What kind of medical reason would allow someone to not wear a mask?

I can’t stand wearing a mask, but it’s getting better. Of course, I only wear inside buildings, etc for a short period before I’m back outside all day.

I don't know, but the OP wasn't talking about a medical reason. He seemed to know the situation he was going into and needed some suggestions. I tried to help, as did some other posters. I hope he gets the info he was seeking somewhere.

I'd offer the OP some advice, but I have a medical condition that makes me unable to do so, so I'm exempt from being asked for advice.

Really, I don't know why some of you don't keep PARFy threads in PARF.

Mostly intellectual or developmental disorders. This explains some of the posts here.

So, back to my original question...what I am picturing would be more sophisticated than just using some thin paper or fabric element directly against the face. In general, if it's opaque enough to obscure the face and it's fairly tight against the nose and mouth, I find it will restrict airflow. A coarse mesh against the face would let air flow, but wouldn't pass visual muster.

So, I am picturing something that stands off of the face a bit, perhaps supported by a thin, peripheral padded frame that does contact the face, so that there is some air space between the mask's external surface and the face.

The bulk of the external surface area could be fabric or dense mesh, but being kept off of the face, it would be less restrictive and be less likely to create the hot breath effect.

Even more sophisticated and likely to promote airflow, the mask surface could have a finely louvered structure so that there is a smooth path for airflow between the louvers. But, when viewed straight ahead, it would present a visibly opaque surface.

Think looking down into a hatchback car with louvers (the blocked path of sunlight for the car, and the blocked visibility of the face) versus looking through the louvers (the clear path of vision in the hatchback, and the clear path of airflow for the mask).

you might make spacers out of foam blocks coarse mesh near the face may not be needed

if it seals well and the outer filter is made from HEPA vac bag material it should be fine

but, there are also small powered air pumps with filters that are belted to your waist, with a hose running up to a mask on your face - may be in short supply, but they work very effectively

I picked up a sweet half skeleton mask, that looks like a mask, but will filter absolutely nothing, just like a paper mask.

Not sure If this is what you're looking for:

https://www.allsafeindustries.com/x-plore-8000-papr-hood.aspx

The hood is inexpensive; the battery-powered filter set is the expensive part.

gear for dummies?

Masks or face shield, if someone is shedding covid, anyone who would be near that person really would not care if the shedder was wearing the mask or shield. And the people who do care, simply would not be near that shedder.

I am somebody, and were I in a situation where I could not avoid close proximity to a COVID positive individual, you are an idiot if you think I would not care if they wore a mask or not.
Above may be the dumbest post I have seen re masks.

So a doctor, instead of requiring the patient to where PPE to protect the medical provider, would instead "simply not be near that shedder"?

Works for me. I decided to not be a doctor anymore and became a carpenter. I pour bleach on wood before sawing it. Bleach riding on the dust. Trump gave me the idea.

Good one Zeke. I prefer to have bright lights shined on me. Doesn’t ruin my clothes or my veins.
