1967 Cadillac Convertible

Dang it man, I cant help myself.
This think followed me home yesterday.
16' trailer and this beast overhung both ends!!
Overall VERY solid car but still needing some tinkering.
Going to get a fur coat, hat and cane and go Kramer style pimping!!

There was a hardtop like that down the street for awhile. Sooo cool.
But I can still feel the unpredictable and unresponsive steering.
That’d be high on my list to improve upon, if possible.
Looking forward to hearing more about it!

I have access to upgraded suspension purchased for a 70 Bonneville. Anybody know if it will work on the caddy? Looks pretty similar under both cars.

I'm guessing you had to remove the smoke stacks for transport.

Air bag it baby.

It looks nice in the photos, '67 was a good year for Cadillac. I owned a '66 Deville convertible and disagree about needing to upgrade the stock suspension. If everything under the car is restored to original spec, (suspension and steering), they perform fine. You are not going to drive it like a small sports sedan but they hold the road well and the ride is superb.

This is a car that should be driven with the top and windows down all the time. Not spectacularly looking as it sits but I think some added tweaks will help w/o pimping it. Me, I couldn't wait to install some wire wheels and I might go up to 17" but no more than that. Some less backset to move the wheel outward a bit and a lower aspect tire, not enough to cause unwanted attention, and I think that would be bihtcin' ride.

Wow, on first look I thought it was black, but it's actually green. What color is the interior?

Pretty cool.

Very nice! Although the 70 is my favorite, the 67 is a close second. Congrats.

Stick some 22" dubs under it, drop the top and look out.

the front end looks kinda '65 riviera-ish, all it needs is hide-away headlights. Or is it just me?

Big floaty boat was a feature, not a bug.

I had a 69 convertible with the 472 V8, my god what an awesome car. Back seat sleeps three. But by that year Detroit was producing Monday and Friday cars. So watch out.

While similarly massive, I think the sedans have better proportions (and asking prices).

One of the chicks I worked with bought a late 60s Caddy because it was so cheap. She was going to school to get her CPA degree. She understood dirt cheap buy in, dirt cheap insurance, and just pump in gas and go. One day she was saying it did not run right anymore. One of the other guys and I went out at lunch time to look for a disconnected hose or bad wire splice. I wondered out loud about the points. We looked and they were eaten up. We ran to the parts store, and for under 5 bucks, replaced the points. Set the gap with a matchbook cover.

We went inside and made it out to be a really expensive problem. We reluctantly showed her the receipt. She said she admitted to being a cheap girl, but not that cheap! She was happy to pay me back and rounded up the changes so I made 4 cents on the deal.

It was a beast of a car. She graduated top of her class and and passed her CPA exam on the first try. The IRS hired her a week later. It still blow my mind that she now carries a gun for her job. She is one of the team that goes into a business to shut it down fro tax fraud.
