sales guys and detailers use the term "engine bay" like your car is a starship Enterprise. Mechanics and engineering types would call it an engine "compartment", which it is.

How to SUPER CLEAN your Engine Bay
No doubt a clean engine looks better. But for a real driver car, it is about impossible to keep it very clean.
Super Clean is a great cleaner. Wear breathing protection and gloves, and do lot let it sit and "cook" on aluminum for very long or it will eat the aluminum. It does just melt greasy dirt. Super clean will also strip all wax from the paint, so don’t get it on your paint.
