Good independent alignment shop in NE Colombus Ohio

Customer lives in Westerville, Ohio. NE of downtown Columbus (mispelled in title). Cupped/scalloped rear tires. Replaced rear tires and shocks in Akron last weekend but would like to have it checked out/aligned.

Don't want Conrads, Firestone, Goodyear or the like as I don't trust them in the least.

Don't care if they use strings and chalk. Just a fair assessment/alignment for a fair price.

My daily drive is a 1986 El Camino. I was not about to go to a tire store for an alignment and have some beginner guess at some setting since the computer does not go back to 1980s G body cars. I started asking car guy friends where they get old hot rods aligned.

I finally found a guy that works at a local body shop. He is the perfect "old grey" that had done alignments for 30+ years and in fact learned from the other old grey I used that went and retired on me. All he does all day is alignments for the body shop, and for local shops that work on older cars. And old geezers like me that know factory setting are not for me.

I want a slightly aggressive alignment since I tend to corner harder than the average El Camino driver. Too many years of driving Porsches.

So contact the hot rod clubs or car show guys in the area. They will will "have a guy" that does it.

It's a beautiful thing when you find that guy. I have, but in Canton, which is an hour and a half away from Columbus. I was sold on the guy in the early 2000's when I was talking about dialing in an extra degree of negative camber on my 911. Like, I was explaining it to him as if he was that beginner kid. He just said "K" with no expression.

This guy will not even charge me to work on my car as I bring him all my real work. I have to shore up by bringing Krispy Kremes the next day.

That said, it's just a 2011 Sonata and I found a body shop that an older guy and son run with really favorable reviews and the word "honest" appears a lot.

What I don't want is the $1,200 "would be nice to repair" list from the Firestone/Goodyear type places that confuse the hell out of my customers.
