Holy cow- I HATE country music but this kid on American Idol is fantastic
Anybody watching this?
18yr old kid doing country song....I dunno man NOBODY has EVER come close to how good this kid is in any of these singing shows. I can't believe they didn't just pull him from the contestant pool and get him touring right away. I mean just wow. And I truly sincerely hate country music.

Yep, wife and daughter love the singing shows. I'm too damned tired to get out of my recliner after cutting the lawn and walking 9 this afternoon. So I hear the tunes and most of it is terrible to mediocre. But seriously.....this kid is gonna be bigger than any of the judges.

Sounds like more of the formulaic stuff that is modern country music. There is some good country music, but the good songs are few and far between.

i really can't speak to the song itself but one thing i noticed is this kid had the girls screaming for him when he came out. almost all other contestants would get the 'Applause sign' stuff and a few yells from the crowd. This guy it was like Elvis or something.

I'm also not generally a country fan, but I do listen to the Eagles. I think Kenny Rogers has some good music. I like a few Charlie Daniels songs. And these days, I'm quite partial to Chris Stapleton.
The kid's very good. I probably like his version better than the B&D version (had to look it up). Quote:
