Meme this

I had to replace 2 tires, and one bent wheel for a customer . Purchased from a well known vendor we all use . I had them send the one mounted and balanced, and I mounted the other .
WTF?

I bet the weight fell off during shipping and randomly stuck to the front.
I've had new weights fall off rims/tires while being transported in the back of my pick up bed.
You could cover them with Aluminum tape to keep them from falling off.

This is most likely correct, although it did balance up perfectly with this weight attached, when I removed it, I had to correct on the inside lip by .50, the exact amount I took off the front of the spoke.
I've been using them for 25 years, and they are repeatedly excellent , this is the first issue ever, so I'll give it a pass.

Was there any sticky type residue anywhere on the inside?

If someone really did that then they need to smacked in the face with a ball peen hammer.

So then, I was thinking, that maybe my kid did it . He is 3, and is a little shop monkey. Nothing of mine has been safe for months now, and he loves the wheel weight, and bolt/nut organizers.
But.... the are not my weights, and they match the ones on the wheels from the tire shop.
They were not stuck on very tight, most likely, they were laying in packaging , or some one dropped them on the wheel somehow, they peeled right off with my fingernail, and left no residue. They are usually not fun to remove and clean . No harm, no foul ,
The car drives smooth again . This is the 3rd wheel, the poor guy bent in the last month . Pa roads are brutal on big barreled aftermarket wheels .
This is a daily driver for the guy . The one remaining rear wheel, is slightly out of round also, but balanced up good, and the car drives smooth again .

Excuse me. that's a flat tire.

Well, not really, it's only flat at the bottom.
