Sorry about the title, didn't think it was a dirty word in that form. Maybe a moderator could change it to, "cow," or "smokes" for me. Thanks.

Very nice.

I never noticed this hot air intake on a 911 before for warming up a cold engine.

The Euro 911-83 2.7 RS engines also ran that hot air/warming system.

It was a '72/'73 thing across the board on MFI cars, just a lot of them have lost that assembly through the years. This is a really nice car on BaT...southern Italy car.

Agree, the BAT car looks awesome. Great color. Reminds me of Roger Grego’s hot rod.

The later Euro MFI cars (‘74-‘75) also used the same warm air system. I worked on a ‘75 Euro Carrera restoration for a client. Same set up.

I also agree that many of the “pre heaters” likely disappeared...although they do help these MFI systems warm up properly...

Certainly not a color I would choose from the factory, but can be appreciated now. I really like the white/black tweed interior.

Reminds me of the brown 71 that Jay Leno did a video about recently.

I think about 10 years ago Doug&Julie had one for a few months, then bought a Boxster never to be heard from again.

Nice machine.

They are all work, no matter how good they look.

Worth the effort in my opinion.

The driving videos in this auction are pretty nice too. Some of the best I've seen on BaT.

Very nice. My first Porsche was a 1970 911T in Aubergine, that color is so much richer in person.

I lost the bid on a 1967 911L in Aubergine, about 2002...Still irritated on that one.

OTOH, if I had bought that 911, I would not have purchased the 110 projects car from Wayne...

911L had to be a ‘68, it was a one year only car, USA only. It was the year that the 911S would not pass emissions for U.S. and they needed an upgraded model. I didn’t know that Aubergine was available that year(?).

Pretty nice.
I’d repaint it Guards Red, though.

With such great paint and amazing interior, I'm surprised they didn't have the door and window frames refinished.

Definitely. And add impact bumpers and SC flares...make it look newer.
