Is it easy to cut a forged wheel into pieces?
Yes, pretty easy.

Making a steel drum?
The first section of your Michelin Man costume? Stretching out your ear lobes?

I liked those wheels on my old 944......until I couldn't find any tires that would fit.

You are a genius!! I’ve got a slightly out of round 18 inch alloy rim I’ve wondered what to do with.
Hose reel, perfect!

Manageable testing sizes for a rare color anodizing a set of Club Sports. Will do different polish levels and different anodizing times and color times to get the right color. I could see 5+ tests to get it right.

I commend the effort to aim for a perfect finish, but my heart bleeds for a nice 8" Fuchs wheel.

Too big to fail

At issue isn't whether the wheel is forged, cast or stamped, but rather from what metal it's made. I guarantee a forged titanium wheel would not have yielded so willingly to the sawzall.

Used a circular saw with a blade for aluminum.
Getting a special saw and some steel cutting saw blades in this week. Going to try to cut 7 feet of 5/8" steel plate. That will be interesting.
