The staff of the Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday endorsed the emergency use of Moderna's coronavirus vaccine, a critical step forward in winning formal clearance to be administered to the public as early as next week.

The staff report is meant to brief the FDA's Vaccines and Related Biological Products Advisory Committee, which meets Thursday to review Moderna's request for emergency use authorization.

Yes, it will be interesting. I imagine there won't be much difference.

I think they will both make it to the general public at about the same time. They will both be used to fulfill the most at risk and then hit us low lifes at a similar time.

I had a discussion with the doc on the last review (aka blood draw). We were discussing the AZ vaccine. I mentioned that it was reported that in Brazil they supposedly used the meningitis vaccine as the placebo.

He said that was "crazy". No one does that. the report must be wrong. Placebos are sterile saline. I had "all the right side effects" from both shots.

I would like "official" notification. But I believe I had the actual vaccine.
