I live on the north-west side of a mountain ridge that is a south - east ridge. When we get a Nor’easter, the front rips around that ridge and just dumps snow in my neighborhood. A couple of years ago, while the rest of my town got 1 foot, we got 3 feet! Hope that’s not what happens this time around...

Got an inch so far, coming down pretty good. I just got my marching orders to plow the few lots that I do .
The cab mount is out of my rusty old plow truck. I planned on fixing it this summer, but spent the entire year on my garage . Im going to jam a 2x4 up in there and go . Ghetto fabulous 6 am tomorrow morning, I will be on top of this huge steep gravel hill , way up in the woods, preparing to push the snow down. Its one of my favorite moments of the season. I always start there. Its a bit of a chore to climb my way up in if there is a lot of snow. I then , shut off the truck, drink some coffee, and just take in natures majesty for a few minutes . The rest of winter ... blech

Put the plow on my 1 ton today but not expecting much up here. 2 to 6 inches or so.

I received a text from my brother this morning he lives in Vestal N.Y. which is 10 miles from the PA border . they woke to 3 ' of snow and it's still coming down . He has to shovel a path to the garage so he can get to his snow thrower . He has three large dogs , two are labs the other a pit mix . My brother opened the door this morning to let them out they turned right around and went back in the house . Dogs aren't stupid !

Still snowing lightly here. As expected the prediction was worse than the reality we have maybe one foot here. Still enough for XC skiing though.

My brother just sent me a text it stopped snowing at his house about 30 minutes ago . Total accumulation is 40 inches so they grossly over achieved vs the prediction of 8-12 inches . I moved from NY over 30 years ago I miss NOTHING about their winters !

Got 4" total. Roads are pretty clear, made it in to work with no problem. These weather people do enjoy the doomsday scenarios. But I guess it is better to predict more for safety's sake.

I have a son born and raised in Chicago has lived in Philadelphia for the past 6 years. He has experience with Chicago winters. He laughs at winter in Philly.
Yesterday he calls me with total excitement. "It is snowing here, the first time in 650 days". He then sends me pics and the are several inches on the ground with more to come. At 26 you would think the excitement over snow would be a thing of the past but, he was having fun. Me - I'm glad it's there and not here.

I love it when it snows! The deer are easier to see moving through the woods and it's easier to track coyotes when there's a fresh snow.
