Or another James Holzhauer. Or any player with the smarts, but also with a much more aggressive style of going for the high-dollar clues first and betting big on Daily Doubles, would bury her rather quickly.

The next tournament of champions with all these recent big-money winners going against each other should be interesting.

I enjoy watching the ability to answer the clue more than the betting strategy.

Yes, but it's the betting strategy that makes for those record-setting championship runs ;)

I agree with all the above. James was very entertaining.

Still can't get over the fact she's only 23.

I just thought about that again today. She's the youngest big-money winner ever.

To become one of the top Jeopardy champion do you need to be really smart or maybe you need an exceptional memory?

If you have two contestants, one extremely smart with average memory and the other equipped with a photographic memory able to recite all the Hollywood actors and other celebrities names but flat stupid otherwise and behaving like a narcistic child, which one would always win?

Lets disregard for a while the very smart with great memory and idiots who do not remember what they had for their last meal.

I was rooting for Sarah. She was very good and didn't deserve to go down with no wins. She could have had a long winning streak of her own. Matea's lucky that Sarah never saw Citizen Kane.

stevej37 05-06-2022 09:09 AM

^^^ Yeah..Sarah was cruising along making it look easy.

I don't think Mattea will last too much longer. She will run into someone like Sarah, whose age and experience will make the difference.

JackDidley 05-06-2022 03:07 PM

By a single dollar.

stevej37 05-06-2022 03:59 PM

Mattea looked relieved that it was over.
Good game.

URY914 05-06-2022 04:11 PM

$1.00. Damnnnnnnn!

stevej37 05-20-2022 03:32 PM

Am I the only one that wouldn't mind seeing the champ Ryan lose?
No interesting winners since Mattea lost.

URY914 05-20-2022 03:45 PM

A share ride driver? He's pretty bright so you'd think he could find something else.

He is kinda boring...

stevej37 05-20-2022 03:52 PM

^^^ He is very smart. A good final jep subject for him.
Yeah, he doesn't show much enthusiam.

stevej37 05-20-2022 03:56 PM

Good job by him.

I noticed when they had the diabetic/insulin question that he answered with a 'oh yeah, I know' look.
He is a very big guy.
