^^^ I missed yesterdays. Ken looks like he is having second thoughts about wanting to get the job.

Ken seems to be settling into the host spot better.
Will be interesting to see the other guest hosts.

Is there a schedule? I thought it was a series of two week trials...Ken is on week three.

stevej37 01-28-2021 04:43 AM

There were two or three episodes in the three weeks that they showed re-runs.
I'm thinking his turn is up either today or friday.

Not sure if true..but I heard Katie Couric is next.

URY914 01-28-2021 06:28 AM

OK let's start a list of those we'd like to see try out for it, mine are:

Chris Rock

Terry Bradshaw

Selma Hayek

Who you say?

stevej37 01-28-2021 06:42 AM

Kaley Cuoco

Kate Upton

I agree with the Chris Rock...Bradshaw..not so much.:)

ckissick 01-28-2021 06:51 AM

Neil deGrasse Tyson

I still want Chuck Todd.

This article says 'schedule of guest hosts'...but I fail to find a schedule on it.

Not so much a schedule as prospective lineup I suppose.

Whoever gets the gig will have to be pretty confident in who they are and not try to appease the only-Alex fans. Replacement host is a thankless gig.

I think Jennings has gotten better over time. He apparently taped 30 episodes. He could relax a bit more but that will come with time.

Why must the new host be a known celebrity? Why not an intellectual? A teacher?

Because they want people to watch it.

I like your picks.

I'm here to say we need a good looking women as a host to offset some of the hags that are contestants. My word how some of those people dress to go on national TV.

stevej37 01-29-2021 07:20 AM

I think it was last nights show that I really wasn't sure if it were three men or two as contestants.

I saw that too. Leather jacket to go on a game shop?

And the night before? Please get some fashion advice before going on.

stevej37 01-29-2021 07:27 AM

Anyone who is pulling for James Holzhauer for host....He can be seen as the 'chaser' on the new show 'The Chase'
It was on last night...he plays the part perfectly. Straight faced and all business.
He also used his 'all in' gesture and remark a couple times.

Thats been the trend generally for many years. I go to the symphony wearing jacket and tie and see people wearing raggedy jeans and sweatshirts. "La bella figura" is dead in America.

I thought it was funny when no one recognized Dave Chappelle

Whoever gets the job must be careful to realize they cannot pontificate on their opinions. That fact will keep Couric from getting the full time job.

Jennings may grow into the job with experience.

Not a fan of Neil deGrasse Tyson. A bit of an exposure hound, and he pontificates on controversial subjects too much.

I met Alex Trebex at a birthday party in 2018. Very unassuming guy and polite.

Those will be big shoes to fill.

stevej37 01-30-2021 07:42 AM

I'm afraid Neil Tyson would be like Simon running the planetarium on BBT
