Alison has it going on....very smart.

In other news....Pat is done with the wheel.
All that is seen from here has been recorded.
Best wishes to him.

Seacrest is up soon. SmileWavy

Alison is one smart gal....except when it's 80's bands.:)

She wins easily again.

cute and smart as heck. nice!

URY914 04-15-2024 07:25 PM

If there was a room full of people I would not pick her out as being the Jeopardy champion. She is very smart, but just doesn't look the part.

berettafan 04-16-2024 03:38 AM

I said that last night. Almost hard to believe.

Ken actually made a mistake last night, he told her she was correct, then he said 'no...no...no, not correct'.

She threw him off his game...I've never seen him make a mistake like that.

She was behind going into Final J but pulled it out even getting the answer wrong.
She looked worried and then shocked when she won.

The school teacher started slow, but he was looking like he was going to win.

She had a very close win.👍

Is being "smart" all it takes to be Jeopardy champ? Contestants on this show all seem to have the uncanny ability to recall almost everything they've ever seen, read or heard. Is this a component of intelligence, or something entirely different?

^^^ learning to use the response button fast is very important.
A lot of times all three know the answer....the fastest on the button without buzzing in too early wins. (if early, I believe you are locked out for a bit)

I agree. The button is key sometimes.

Yes, I agree that being quick on the button is critical to success on Jeopardy, but you also need to come up with enough correct responses to beat the other players.

The incredibly obscure minutiae that these contestants are able to recall is quite remarkable.

New Masters tournament starts tonight on ABC, 7 PM central. Should be fun.

stevej37 05-01-2024 05:26 PM

Wow...tough clues. I didn't expect Victoria to run away with the first match.

I'm happy to say that I knew the answer that tripped up Matt.....zig zag sewing machine.

Of course I mostly missed all the other ones...:D

Tough clues for sure. Yes, I expected Matt to get that. Pretty good games tonight.

Despite giving more wrong answers than right ones....Wiki goes from last place to winner.

Tough episode to watch the three women. :D

URY914 05-03-2024 05:08 PM

Why hasn't he asked Wiki about her name?

stevej37 05-03-2024 05:15 PM

^^^
I don't know....but I bet he has asked her and knows beforehand.

Half way thru the match I thought the pressure was really getting to her....then she seemed to toughen up some.

He finally did tonight.
"It means...a woman on a horse looking for something." :)
