png files don't work on Pelican. Save it as a jpg and upload that.

This is the 944S2 at the previous owner's house. No pictures from here.

just rename the file with .jpg instead of .png. Ignore windows error message, then upload to pelican.

I don't know why it works, but it does.

png works as links from another site, but not uploads.

Too far from road/too many trees in the way.

Does show up on the satellite view though.

I suppose it depends on how busy the neighborhood is and/or growth but how long until Google updates their street view images?

It's not a P-car but I came across this randomly several years ago and thought it was pretty cool.

Years ago, I followed the Google car down the street in my 'hood ... in my truck, so I was curious .... even though the old pics are archived. It took about 18 months for that one to appear.

I must have been behind the Google car when they came thru my hood. My wife called to me about a year ago to come and look at her screen. Sure enough, there I was in my Subaru in front of our house.
Kind of creeped me out a bit to be honest.

Nope.

Google Street view game through our neighborhood shortly after an ice storm several years ago, so we had most of the area between the sidewalk and the curb piled with tree limbs, and the remains of one large tree. The city came through a few weeks later to pick them up. So my house looks like a trash pile for trees along the curb. The entire area looks that way so I am not alone.

^^^ Yep ... the 360 degree street view showed my truck just behind the camera car. I don't think they fly just yet ..... for those from the sky pics either ...

Both Google and Bing (Microsoft) bought aerial mapping camera companies and they have their own fleet of aircraft with their own flight crews. They both fly the entire country coast to coast and then start over and do it again. They both use their own brand of proprietary camera systems.

Both companies also have a fleet of street view cars shooting the street view photos.

They must spend many mega millions each doing it, but I am not worried about Google or Microsoft going broke anytime soon.
