Last night was fine. Stiff this morning but let hot shower run on it for a couple minutes and it’s fine now.

Taking my wife out on Valentine's Day for our second dose of the Moderna.

I am anticipated a few days of feeling crappy afterward. I scheduled a few possible Covid days on the calendar.

Cheers

Received second Pzifer shot this morning. Scuttlebutt is, "drink LOTS of water" after your vaccination. My wife and I took that advice and brought water with us in the car and guzzled it down after we had the shot. Now I do not know what after affects we will encounter with the second vaccination, but we are just going to lay low for several days and see what happens. Just about everyone I know who took both shots had some reaction beyond the sore arm! Anyways, we are not going to let our guard down having stocked up on N95 masks, avoiding restaurants (indoor eating), crowds, flying, etc. Our plan is to let the numbers and curve come down before we let loose..................

I only had a slightly sore arm after both shots. I did have something strange, though. I got the last shot on Monday. Tuesday night I had the worst sleep of my life. Tossed and turned and turned and tossed all night long. Both my brother in law and niece had a bad nights sleep after their shot.

Anyone else?

From the link

"Dr. Buddiga says he sees this in about 2% to 9% percent of patients.

"They should see their doctors if it doesn’t go away in 48 hours," said Dr. Buddiga.

Curious what he meant by 2 - 9 % but from the second statement, not to be ignored if it doesn't resolve in 2 days.

Dang P-gal... hate to read that. My parents got the second round of the Phizer on Wed. No after effects for either one after both.

As I was waiting to get my first Shingles vaccine this morning, my arm started to hurt :D

I took allergy shots twice per week for 20 years. Each shot hurt for two days ans about the time the pain was gone it was time for a new shot. It was 100% worth the suffering as my allergies are basically gone.

We just got our second dose (wife and I) 1.5 hours ago. So far just like last time, just a needle stick. No discomfort at all. Like the parachutist with a defective parachute, so far so good. With luck, it will be like the first shot, just forgotten about.

I have been to Urgent Care twice, the ER once and my Primary Care once in the last week. I have been covered in hives, swollen hands and feet so bad it was painful to walk and trouble swallowing. Lots of steroids, Benadryl, and epi pens this week but today I'm finally out of bed although still a little out of it from all the drugs in my system. Right now CDC is saying I am 1 in a million for this reaction, so I guess that can be my new "claim to fame."

Sorry to hear about this. All the best to a full recovery !

I believe the second and first shots are the same vaccine but the body reacts more strongly to the second. CDC has a Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System you can submit a report to.

I specifically asked if there was any difference in the second dose and she said it was the exact same injection for either dose. The second round is only different in that your body has some antibodies from the first shot.

Porsche Gal, we all knew you were one in a million. You did not have to prove it to us. Sorry for you reaction. Wow, that sucks.

You too? As a kid I ran away from my doctor's office when he was prepping to give me a shot. I hid out at the library 2 blocks away.

Reaction to the mRNA, not to the adjuvant or carrier then.

Really, there are a million of us here? Whodathunk!

I saw on the news today that the Black and Hispanic communities were way behind the Whites and Asians for getting the vaccine.

So in the interest of fellowship and humanity, I am not getting a vaccine until all the Blacks and Hispanics have had theirs.

;)

Been about 12 hours since my wife and son got the second dose. My son is running a very low grade fever and his shoulder hurts. My wife so far is doing fine.
