Got the Moderna vaccine today and ...

my arm is prettysore. Weird. Never felt this way before with other vaccines. I don’t think I can lift tomorrow.

I’m sitting on my sofa drinking coffee with my right hand. My left shoulder feels like it did a few weeks after rotator cuff surgery. I got the phizer(?) shot last evening. I too have never been this sore after an injection.

Yer both soft! ... Just kidding. my shoulder hurt a few hours after the shot and then the entire next day. My 80 year old dad got the Moderna shot and his arm never hurt. Mom said her shoulder hurt a little. They were told to do some exercise after getting the shot because it helped with injection site soreness so they both walked on the treadmill for a while. That's the first I had heard about light exercise after getting the shot.

We (wife and I) got the Pfizer vaccine. On the way home I felt like someone stuck me with a needle for some strange reason. ;)

By bed time I had forgotten about it and in the morning there was a silver dollar very slightly reddish area around the injection site but no discomfort at all. Next day there was no sign at all. Same reaction as my wife. Pretty much none.

My elderly parents received their first one a couple of weeks ago... no soreness at all.

Wife and I both got Moderna last Thursday and Friday, the good thing the shot was painless, very little arm soreness later.

The bad thing is we both tested covid positive on Monday. Wife is doing ok. I'm in the hospital because my O2 dropped to 83...apparently I have pneumonia. Lucky me.

Wow...were you out and about at all? Seems awfully coincidental/suspect that you both test positive at the same time post injection.

The reaction is typically due to the carrier fluid of the mRNA.
~ 1/1000 would have a serious reaction (to the carrier, not the “active ingredient.”
...hope you all are doing okay.

I'd get the Madonna vaccine, but I think my chances of being with her are exceptionally low.

I hope you get well soon, MMARSH!

Like I said in the other thread, I'm wishing you a safe and healthy recovery. It's serious that you are in the hospital. I got my Pfizer shot last Thursday. Just experienced a bit of an ache about ten hours later, & it went away by this morning.

I took mom to get the Moderna vax on Monday. No complaints from her at all. She'll be 91 in a few days, and is tough as nails.

Thursday both my wife and I received the Astra Seneca injection.
That night my joints ached and I felt generally low as if I had bad flu. This lasted all the next day too, but by Saturday I felt fine again.
My wife had no bad reaction at all.

Got the Pfizer vaccine yesterday, no pain or problems so far.

I won't get the Pfeiffer vaccine. Whatever she's got, I want it.

Got the Pfizer shot yesterday. No problems other than a sore arm -typical for many with an injection into a muscle.

WPOZZZ 02-04-2021 04:32 PM

If Moderna makes you green, Pfizer must make you blue?

Wife and I both got Moderna today. No swelling or pain. It is interesting how it effects different people.
