My Dad, God rest his soul, was born in 1908. He told me that Coca-Cola once had some "zip"...

CJ, hate to burst your triva bubble but, Coke does not import coca leaves. Stephan Chemical does. They are the only legal importer of these leaves. They use the leaves to make drugs (novaciane, lidocaine ... get the picture). Coke buys the leaves after they are done with them.

anyway...

So, does anybody know when the "zip" left Coca-Cola?

LOL! (My cats are laughing too!)
Thanks for the link, Aurel.

COKE

1. In many states (in the USA) the highway patrol carries two gallons
of Coke in the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.

2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in
two days.

3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl and
let the "real thing" sit for one hour, then flush clean. The citric acid
in Coke removes stains from vitreous china.

4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers: Rub the bumper with
a rumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil dipped in Coca-Cola.

5. To clean corrosion from car battery terminals: Pour a can
of Coca-Cola over the terminals to bubble away the corrosion.

6. To loosen a rusted bolt: Apply a cloth soaked in Coca-Cola to
the rusted bolt for several minut

7. To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of Coca-Cola into the baking pan,
wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake. Thirty minutes before the
ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the drippings to mix with the
Coke for
sumptuous brown gravy.
8. To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of coke into a load
of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The
Coca-Cola will
help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze from
your windshield.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION:

1. The active ingredient in Coke is phosphoric acid. Its pH is 2.8.
It will dissolve a nail in about four days. Phosphoric acid also leaches
calcium from bones and is a major contributor to the rising increase
in osteoporosis.

2. To carry Coca-Cola syrup (the concentrate) the commercial truck
must use the Hazardous Material place cards reserved for highly
corrosive materials.

3. The distributors of coke have been using it to clean the engines
of their trucks for about 20 years!

Now the question is, would YOU like a glass of water or coke??????

Iced Tea for me please!!!!

My sister and her husband drink nothing but Coke - day and night.

I think it may be a problem. I was talking to my niece the other day and I asked her what she had for breakfast that morning. Her reply, "bacon, eggs, and Coke". Not good.

So, if I have a screw in my fog light that is stripped, I just pour Coke on it and it will loosen it???????

"2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of coke and it will be gone in

Not even true by a long shot. My junior high school class did this as an experiment - a small steak in a large vat of coke. The difference after weeks was indeciferable.

This was tackled on some urban legends show on MTV, and proven false. It is just a myth...

...although almost everything else in this post is true.

Coke is awesome, hands down. It's one of two things that life would suck without, the other being Tabasco sauce. Coke is best in a glass with finely crushed ice.

My little cousin bought himself the thickest, fake gold chain he could fine. It rusted and he was just about ready to throw it out.

I dunked the chain in a glass of coca cola. Couple hours later... the chain is perfect!

Regardless, I still drink it.
