Music to my ears TOO, son.
so i had THE BEST day today and i wanted to share with you guys as NO ONE outside of our collective minds would understand.
i couldnt be PROUDER as a father and a 911 owner !!!!! just a bit of a backstory to give this a bit of context. my son, Santiago is about to turn 7 years old. he LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES Flamenco Guitar and wants to listen to it all the time. he is taking guitar lessons to learn how to play guitar flamenco style...... soooooo here is the great part of this thread....... i went to pick up my son today from school....... i am playing his favorite flamenco piece on the radio.... good stereo system in my car so its sounds great.... after school we go to the "porsche doctor" to get on the calendar for some minor stuff...... we get back into the 911 and i ask him if he wants to continue to listen to his music........ he says, " no dad, i dont want to listen to my music..... I WANT TO LISTEN TO THE PORSCHE ! ![]() ![]() Last edited by PRE-H20; 02-18-2021 at 12:16 PM.. |

He's just trying to listen to the dropped valve in the old, smelly, clean air polluting POS you are driving.

Nice, need to start buying him some quality tools.
I had a dirt bike when I was thirteen, my Mom would get me tool sets for Christmas or birthdays. They were Gray tools, which are great quality Canadian tools. I still use them 40 plus years later and without fail remember her every time I pick one up. Seems like your son will want a tool set.

Every time I see your posts about the boys I get to thinking about how much fun my son is going to have. They are expecting twin boys in May. Their daughter already has an electric P-car. I wonder if she'll share it.
No fingerprints, that's a good policy to have at that age. Keep the posts coming.

So I've picked up the now six year old grandson for the last two years every Saturday. He likes the kid seats in the back of the 911. We head for Starbucks (hot chocolate), then to the park to meet my buddies (average age, 70). He sits in the circle with us and interact for a while, then we play frisbee, then cover the swings & jungle jim. He's one of the boys. We head out, he picks up trash, folds his lawn chair, and we go back to the 911 & home.
Last week he wanted to sit in front so I could explain all the gauges to him. |

Cool story about your car, and sons.
My 22 year old son brought his latest purchase out to the farm yesterday (1978 Kawasaki 440 Drifter snowmobile) that he bought for $200 that had been sitting for 20 years. We got it running, and had a ball riding it around pulling my wife, and adult daughter on a sled. When I was 22 years old (33 years ago), I had the identical sled, same year, make, and model, so boys don't fall far from the tree ! |

Agreed! My 16 year old went from an avid car kid to casually caring. My 10 year old still has the car bug, so I’m hoping he is my future car buddy. He also still asks me why I sold my 911SC.

I'm hoping this last year (covid) and all the projects we did on the Pcar have taken roots in his mind....... im pretty sure yesterdays drive helped quite a bit. it was great to see his reaction when we walked into AASE and he was counting how many 911's there were..... "look dad, there are 5 porsches...... wow there more inside dad look, look!"
