Nothing new.

Provided it's in your contract for employment or an employee handbook. To make it a requirement out of the blue? Nah... grounds for a lawsuit.

Not as difficult as you might think. At our Catholic school we have several non Catholic teachers. Hell, we have several openly gay teens in our Catholic school. Times... they are a changin.

Should fat people be forced to take the lap-band surgery? Heart disease kills more than covid.

Not everyone works under contract. Many work in at will states where you can be released for no reason.

The 69 hospital employees were fired with two month's notice of vaccination requirements.

"In September 2017 Duluth Minnesota based health system, Essentia Health informed all employees, volunteers, students, and vendors that they were to comply with the mandatory flu-shot policy. The hospital workers were given three options and a compliance date in November 2017:

Get the flu shot
Get an approved religious or medical exemption
Leave Essentia Health"

Has to be in a company handbook or something. Anything outside of that opens the company to lawsuits. I'd bet the hospital employees had a contract of some sort.

"mandatory flu shot policy" How much ya wanna bet that policy is in an employee handbook?

No one should be forced to take a vaccine. However, they should also be responsible for their own actions. If you don't want to take it, and it is a requirement of your employment, understand you can be let go.

Our lawyer wouldn't let us do or say anything that wasn't in the employee handbook. We revised the handbook constantly, and had a staff meeting to explain the modifications every time we changed a punctuation mark.

In a small business, like the restaurant, it is not that difficult. A policy change notification on the bulletin board and an employee meeting.

Heart disease is not contagious.

It doesn't have to be to be the bigger threat.

Forcing people --who don't have disease-- to take a medical procedure to prophylactically protect others is absurd.

Besides, all they have to do is wear a mask... maybe two.

Someone else's heart disease is not a threat to my health.

The only thing they are being "forced" to do is make a decision. Vaccinate, get a waiver, or find another job.

A business owner may find it beneficial to have all employees vaccinated. Others may not. I wouldn't do it when the vaccine is under an EUA.

Someone else's lack of covid is not a threat to your health either, but you would like to force them. [to get vaccinated]
Why not get the vaccine yourself, rather than trying to make your fear someone else's problem?

Yep, and like I asked, what about the business owner who may find it beneficial to have all FAT employees get a lap-band? Maybe he gets a better insurance rate without the fatties...

Unless you are one of the millions that won't/shouldn't get the vaccine because they have had severe allergic reactions in the past.

Unless they work near you and have a heart attack during operating machinery that could injure you. Heck, with that measurement, a obese person shouldn't be allowed to drive a car because they could have a heart attack and then run into pedestrians.

Or a playground full of children at recess.

Why do you hate children so, Patrick?
