Partly why I told my accountant to take his time. :)

I have 2 chitlins.
Thought they got another $5 or 600 each?
Im starving here man!

Curious where the 2400 came from since everything I've read said 1400 per.
For me that's 1400x4 or 5600.
Read the letter a few times and then it finally hit me...
It was for round 2!!
That money was received months ago!
Usps that slow, or IRS that incompetent?
Combo of both?

stevej37 03-15-2021 05:13 PM

^^^ My sister has not received her check from round 2 yet.
And she works for the govt.

BK911 03-15-2021 05:36 PM

I'm wondering if another round 2 is hitting my account "within 7 days".

Aurel 03-15-2021 05:45 PM

I got my tax refund later than expected but it was also more than expected. It looks like the IRS added the refund and the stimulus money in one wire transfer. Did anyone else notice the same?

Arizona_928 03-15-2021 05:46 PM

Second one came promptly.
Third. Who freaking knows. I'm running out of things to waste money on. I'll prolly hit government surplus again. So feds will get their money back.

Combo but mostly the IRS. It's all about defunct computers, printers and ancient software.

Every so often the honchos correctly decide all new machines are needed. Only about half are ever installed because they went obsolete before they could get 'em hooked up. On one of DJT's early tours inside the Kingdom of Bureaucrats he spied a giant conference room full of printers. Brand new printers, unplugged and unboxed just sitting there. Hundreds or maybe thousands. He asked why do we need all these printers? The residing tour guide probably thought it a dumb question.

Mine came separately...direct deposits. They were only one day apart.
They should be listed separately....not combined.

Crowbob 03-15-2021 05:55 PM

I haven't gotten anything. No refund, no 3rd round stimulant check. No nothing. But I ain't gonna ask nobody nothin'. I'm content keepin' my head down.

stevej37 03-15-2021 05:57 PM

^^^ It's early yet for the 3rd round and refunds are just starting to arrive.
They will find you.

cabmandone 03-16-2021 03:23 AM

What's a tax refund?? I vaguely remember getting something like that but it has been so long ago.

BReif61 03-16-2021 05:47 AM

I'll be going out and buying myself a nice breath of fresh air with our 3rd stimulus, because that's all we will be able to afford.

We were in the income range that received a lesser stimulus the first two rounds, and are above the much tighter window for the third. Cez la vie.

flatbutt 03-16-2021 11:04 AM

My CPA just called and told me that IRS will reconcile returns and send stim money with any refunds due.

Getting nada here, too. I DO have to send them some MORE money by April 15th, though...guess someone needs to help them stimulate the economy

Bill Douglas 03-16-2021 07:39 PM

Tax refund. Yay, I found out today I get $6,600 back.

That is good news, but it also means I've had a worse year than financially expected. Ah, what the hell, I'll spend it wisely ;)

ckelly78z 03-17-2021 02:01 AM

I have several items for sale on FB marketplace that I made sure the adds were updated before the unwashed masses get their "free money". Early next week will be a feeding frenzy, and most likely some big stock investment days as well.

dmcummins 03-17-2021 02:13 AM

I got my third round last weekend. I helped the Italians by buying a new shotgun. This year I sent my taxes in early as it allowed me to get the full amount. Previously I recieved a reduced amount as I took a larger amount than usual out of my IRA due to purchasing a new home.

rfuerst911sc 03-17-2021 03:17 AM

Mine was direct deposited early this morning . My wife's is in queue but no date assigned per gov website .

SiberianDVM 03-17-2021 04:51 AM

$1400 deposited this morning.

BK911 03-17-2021 10:39 AM

5600 deposited this morning!!
Daddy gonna eat gud tonight!

stevej37 03-17-2021 10:46 AM

Between Saturday and today....incredible amount of money being added to the economy.
Hopefully there aren't many that sit back and save it.

stevej37 03-17-2021 11:56 AM

There's already talk of a fourth stimulus check coming.

At lunch, I went by my local Wells Fargo to grab some random cash, and there were lines 10 deep for every drive through teller lane. This is a depressed neighborhood, it's likely that people were pulling $2800 cash out of their accounts because cash is far more important than credit or checks around here. That, or people were trying to make it liquid before some automatic withdrawal process wiped it away...ehem alimony ehem...

But clearly, there was LOTS of cash being injected into this community in some manner.

stevej37 03-17-2021 01:17 PM

^^^ All good!
Cash flow is very important...imo

Gogar 03-17-2021 06:57 PM

I'm curious, if a single mother with 7 children on TANF and SNAP has an eighth child in 2020, will she receive $12,600 today or only $11,200? Because, as mentioned- 2020 shouldn't be counted as we are trying to establish a baseline. ;)

It depends on when she filed her 2020 taxes.

pete3799 03-20-2021 05:04 PM

I got an IRS letter stating that we (file jointly) will be getting 1200 bucks. Haven't check with my bank yet.
I was expecting 2800. Don't know what's up yet but i've heard some people are only getting half of what they were expecting.
Anybody else getting shorted?

Hehe, lotta big talk here about what is being bought by pelicans with the stimmies.....

Clearly shoe organizer has tabs written all over it.

Patio furniture sets looks like a Baz anomaly.

Summer dresses, um I could identify but that would get me a trip....

The ones really to wonder about: rose toy for weemens, gua shua. That clearly aint' gunz n ammos! Fess up!

^^^ Where is the 'turtle food'???

wdfifteen 03-25-2021 11:37 AM

We went to our favorite restaurant. Haven’t been there all year. The place has gone to hell. Food was not nearly as good and our favorite waiter is leaving. We left him $100 tip on a $150 bill. Probably never see him again. Probably never go back to the restaurant either.

that's hilarious! You hit it on the head with the shoe rack and patio furniture, except that Baz never buys patio furniture. All of his comes when the kids clean out the house and put it on the curb after grandpa passes away. Apparently, Baz is even better at getting a deal than Tabs!! "I'll see your $900 Italian loafers for $2.37 and raise you a free patio set, table, and broken surf board."

I wish I could get free money and stay at home. Unfortunately some have to keep working to keep the folks on welfare happy/safe. :)

stevej37 03-25-2021 12:47 PM

^^^ I resemble that remark!.....keep working.
Thank you very much!
