Wouldn’t it be nice if we made it all over here and didn’t have to ship it from that ****hole overseas, China?

Think of all the pollution we would save.

Sounds great, until the cost of everything doubles and triples, and people lose their sheisse because they can't buy a giant TV for $300 and all of the other assorted crap that is super cheap these days.

Most folks try to stretch their dollar as much as possible so they can continue to afford their starbucks and beer. Everyone wants everything and they want it right now. As long as that continues, China will "win."

The only people to blame are ourselves.

Only about 9.5billion lost per day and they borrow Mohamed's brother's friend's shovel.

"Service provider Leth Agencies said a total of 237 vessels were waiting in the area on Friday - 107 at Port Suez in the Red Sea, 41 at the canal's midway point in the Great Bitter Lake, and 89 at Port Said in the Mediterranean."

Well, fortunately for all of us, it has two bow thrusters. 3400 hp, per each.

How many HP would be needed to push one of those containers sideways at 30mph?

How man containers.

divide 3400hp...

is that enough?

I'll let you do the math.

Why do I feel like this is a problem that someone like the Norwegians or the Dutch could solve straight away?

Why not get a couple dredges going around it? These are basically pool cleaners on steroids where the solids are filtered out. It seems like a couple days with a dredge at either end would sort this out.

There's at least one dredge working on it now.

Can you imagine the horn honking going on right now? "Get the hell outta the way!"

The Synergizer 03-27-2021 06:37 AM

proves to me that with just a few strategically place "accidents" like this, and then a complete shutdown of internet communications, the world would descend into chaos... Which it is already anyway.

No need for any nukes.
