I guess I should’ve added more to my original post. I have both heat and AC in my garage along with lots of LED lighting. It’s just that I like having the garage door open on nice days. And I really don’t have much of a problem until in the afternoon when the sun reflects off the concrete and into the garage. Baz, I used a sunshade at my last house, but here I don’t have 4 mounting points.

Core drill your drive and install sleeves to receive pipe uprights for a quick shade set up. Just 2 should do it with hooks for the cover on the garage.

This is the best solution yet! Easy set up and disassembly

That's why I referenced the thread with all the photos and commentary regarding the post install:

Continuing Thread: What Are You Fix-It'ing Today?

I used these and it worked out great:

That said, the core drill idea from Milt has merit and is worth considering too, IMHO.

I looked at your thread and that would work if I wanted to have a shade over both garage doors. But I just need a shade over the one side.

You could just have one half the width of shade cloth I used and do everything else the same way. Just get one that is 10' or 12' wide:

E.share 70% Green Shade Cloth Taped Edge with Grommets 12 ft X 10 ft

How about a lighter color for less heat absorption and more light transfer...

EDIT: Uh oh.

Q: How well does it hold up in the Phoenix,Az. summer sun and extream heat?

A: In St GEORGE Utah - did not last the summer. Sun almost destroyed the shade.

A: I live in Parker AZ and the mesh part last longer than the edging. The edge turns to dust and very bad the breath in. Almost landed in the hospital.

A: Horribly, I live in a Phoenix and have had the shades for 2 months. They are disintegrating already.
