Halfway thru my stay at home vacation.
I could seriously retire now. I’m not bored one minute. I’m taking one-month off thanks to our forced furlough. I banked the days and burned them at once.
Got yard work done, okay that was it., a tiny bit of yard work ...but I’ve been fishing a lot. A lot a lot. My hands are tan like some reverse film negative of Mickey Mouse. I look retarded naked with my tan lines. I try to stay covered up entirely from the sun. I’ve lost count of the fish. I fish 3 days in a row. Exhausted. I slept 11 hours last night. Haha. Manged a quick breakfast and hit a local lake before the winds whipped up. I can even stand up and paddle on my kayak now. I kinda hope the furlough goes another year. I’ll do it again one year from now, but go somewhere they don’t speak English and my $ is strong.

There are 1000's of people sitting at their keyboard dreaming of this. Good for you. I choose to live vicariously (but wish I was doing the fishing. Trout is my thing. Fantastic. Be well! |

Well done Vash! Glad you're getting some fun down time..
I will retire this year, really looking forward to seeing what I can do with so much "free" time...

I had a 10 week long Covid mandatory shutdown last year and loved it, getting alot of stuff done around the farm...built a greenhouse, transformed a 12' rowboat into a fishing rig with casting platforms.
Now, i'm looking forward to getting out on my new fishing kayak, but working full time, with another 5 years until any hope of retiring....can't wait ! |
