Don’t know if you have any wiggle room on that 1/2”... pretty close...

#1 Philip’s bit in the tool. #0 is a fraction shorter.

"I won't use this very frequently" I thought when I bought mine. Probably one of the most used tools in my box.

Update.
I called in a tech. 2 of them showed up and ripped the machine apart like a fat kid on a smartie.
Took them 2 hours and I'm back in business.
Best $400 I've ever spent.
This is the first service call I have had to put in for the 3 years since I canceled my contract.
Like they say "If you are not handsome, you better be handy!".

After seeing them fix it, is it something that you could/would fix yourself if it came up again, or is this one of those "I will always pay someone else to do this" sort of tasks?

Nope. I'd call them again. So many small parts had to come off to get to the 2 screws.
It was definitely a 2 man job as well. In fact I even helped a bit.
But maybe I would .....lol

All too tall and I have them.
If I had a welder I was thinking of cutting a bit down and attaching a little arm to it.

Done that.

The techs were yammering in Chinese so I don't know if they were swearing or talking about lunch. The only thing they said in English was 'that's strange" when checking settings.

They brought a circuit board and a few other things, but in the end I was right about it being the sensor.

That is nice.
Not sure if I would have had the balls to cut the handle though.
