NC State facing COVID-19 issues, forcing delay of College World Series game against Vanderbilt

I think they started the game with 13 available players.

Well, it's currently "those who will go on after their college careers to be Doctors", er, I meant Vandy, up 3-1 over NC State in the top of the 6th.

T-2 hours till my Bulldogs take the field against Texas, unless they wipe down the bases.....

Hopefully they "tested" the Vandy whistler for being a "super spreader"!

I guess it's been about an hour and a half since they put our game in a rain delay, with Texas batting in the top of the 9th...........

Bulldogs down 5-2 in the bottom of the 8th rally with 3 runs to tie the game up. Big time momentum swing towards Mississippi State.....

Texas bats top of the 9th. Enter the rain. Enter Mississippi State closing pitcher. Pitches going all over the place. Rain gets harder. Pitching gets worse......

WHACK! Texas hits a 3 run homer and go up 8-5. The rain gets worse and out comes the infield tarp.

Did I mention our closing pitcher was from Oxford Mississippi? Home of Ole Miss?! :rolleyes:

BREAKING NEWS:

1:15 a.m. Saturday morning---the NCAA just forced NC State to forfeit their upcoming game with Vandy and Vandy advances to the Championship. That's bull**** sports fans! How does Vandy get a pass and advance to the Championship when they were just on the same field with a (potentially but good enough for the NCAA) Covid positive NC State?! Weren't they EXPOSED?! Oh this is just soooo wrong!

Ouick! Go test the Texas team! :D

I tell you what. I'm still madder than hell over the NCAA and NC State. Now that Texas won 8-5 over my Bulldogs, I think the winner of tomorrow (actually later today) nights game that will advance to play Vandy put up a damn protest against playing a team that was exposed by a team that the NCAA ruled against and forced out. To hell with the Championship. To hell with your money NCAA. Let the season end with 2 Co-Champions and call it a day.
