Oil filters on MCs
I changed the oil on the Duc yesterday but had a very tough time getting the filter off. Whenever I change the filter I put a thin coat of oil on the gasket to help sealing and subsequent removal but I nearly pulled the bike off of the service stand this time!
I've heard of people JBing a nut onto the filter to help with removal but when I did that the weld didn't hold. I currently use the big ol' pliers but what do you all use?

BigAzz (R) Channel Lock pliers ... works when every other filter tool, strap, or a big ol' screwdriver through the filter won't

I like K&N filters because they come with a 17mm nut welded into the bottom. Works great. Otherwise, get one of these:

I use this kind of wrench. Squeezes harder as you apply more torque.
