A challenge to my Porsche friends

Supertec in conjunction with a few local individuals is putting together a winter care package for local homeless.
The package includes cotton hoodie, thermal blanket, 6 pairs of tighty whities, 6 pair of winter socks, 2 rain ponchos, a hygiene kit all packaged in a water-tight back pack.
We are packing these kits for women, children and men.
Each package cost $41.50 and we are looking for donations.
100% of money donated go to purchasing supplies. Shipping, packaging and deliveries are done by volunteers.
Here's your chance to put you money where your heart is.
These people will benefit from your charity. No government, no coercion, no annoying calls.
You don't even have to lick a stamp.
PayPal gifts are the best way to make it happen. It is not tax deductible so I will pay the tax out of my own pocket on all gifts received.

We found a great place to distribute our care packages.
It's called Humanity Showers and they're located 100 or so yards from my parts store, 911 Vintage parts.
They offer showers, barber and hygiene products to 50-60 needy people a week.

No worries. You don't have to explain. To be clear, we are not a charity. We're just some guys living in a small town who saw people in need.
This was our response. We were making back packs before I posted the request and thought others would get the same satisfaction from participating. It seems quite a few are like minded.

The first 24 Back Packs were paid for by me and the Supertec crew so our buying power was limited.
With the generosity of so many of you, we now have greater buying power for the next run. Cost per back pack should be reduced meaning more smiles per dollar.

I've said it before but I sincerely thank all of you for your support.

I talk to homeless people every single day. 90% of them choose to be homeless due to various factors such as drugs.

If you want to donate, do so to a rescue mission. They have rules that must be followed, and tend to shelter entire families. Giving a hoodie and a backpack to a random street hobo is not my idea of charity.
