What's for Lunch?
It was Monday so .....
Martinis and shrimp cocktail! ![]() It was depressingly cloudy with drizzle and rain outside, so we decided to do something about it. We put on comfort clothes, got out our "special" martini glasses, turned on the TV, and got hammered in front of a dumb romantic comedy. It was a great day! The blue glass is special because it has been part of the great times I've had with MrsWD for over 10 years and it found its way into some of my favorite photos of her. Notice how the IPhone distorted the shape of the glasses in the photo above. ![]()

Fixed a fried egg sandwich using our own free range brown eggs, mayo, provolone, and cheddar, cracked pepper, and farm seasoning, washed it down with a "Pepsi One", and a few chips....comfort food at it's best !

A packaged potato burrito. There is one company here in Socal that makes a good range of frozen burritos. The rest taste like cardboard with mashed pinto beans. Can't speak for the meat ones as I don't eat meat.

I agree, rye would have been better, but I'm on a toasted scali bread with lots of butter and cherry preserves for dessert kick. I think some pickles would have been good too.

Yeah I've seen it there but at my local one it's hit and miss. I like the Chile Relleno one.

Thanks, I have to say that while the wagyu is twice as expensive as regular ground beef, it has 3 times the taste. And better fat as you can see. I can get the same 80/20 regular beef and it doesn't have the same grease which is everything for a burger. Getting some tallow to start to griddle burgers in too. Maybe baste while grilling, something to try.
