Unsuccessful, the arsonist's attempts to shut the people in the building, the result was but property damage. Pretty close to idyllic, really.

I know. No pics or it didn’t happen...

In addition to your drive area I am wondering if you could give us a tour of these areas as well?

SW 6th Ave between SW Morrison and SW Salmon.

the area between SW Salmon to SW Columbia bounded by SW 1st and SW5th?

SW Park Ave between SW Main and SW Yamhill.

What does the corner of SW Taylor and SW3rd look like?

How about SE Straks Street between SE117th and 122nd?

Clearly it is affecting him greatly...mentally. Or more correctly the the right wing media fear machine is affecting him greatly.

You are such a victim. Victimized around every corner, by protesters 350 miles away, by people who request the use of pronoun you aren't comfortable with, by people that wear masks, by people that get vaccinated and on and on.

Which puts him about as close to the action as a guy who lives in LO and happened to drive down Division (even the best parts of which have long been just okay, and go downhill quickly as you move east toward Felony Flats) on a nice, spring day.

My brother sent me this a few days ago (although the credit/blame for the title goes to yours truly), shot less than two minutes from the home he and his wife bought in a lovely, quiet neighborhood over thirty years ago. This was taken by his wife as they rolled down the road on their way to dinner.

Nope, no issues in the erstwhile beautiful City of Roses.

Always amazed how people with no money can generate that much trash.

What part of "Portland" is this? Doesn't look like any part I've seen... lots of meadows and such. Agreed that the garbage is a blight.

victim? No. Not yet.

BTW pointing at blight and dysfunction doesn't make one a victim.

33rd, just west of the airport. They are heading north, not much to eat in that direction. At least nothing very good. Expensive, yes, but not good.

If they went south, towards Alberta, they could get much better food, and avoid that strip of devastation.

Ask them how they feel about Concordia University being turned into a homeless facility.

I hear Portland is a great place to visit, I would like to come and see for myself maybe move there upon retirement. LWJ took a drive and said how wonderful everything was. Thought maybe he could take a video sort of like one of those tourist commercials. New Jersey had one called NJ and you perfect together. Atlantic City had one DO-AC, Virginias is Virginia is for Lovers. I was wondering if he could swing by those places and show me it may help with my decision on areas to visit.

Why does this bother you so? Aren't you proud of Portland? Don't you want to show it off?

The protest 3000 miles away sparked other protests around the country and world including in my little town. Like a plague or a virus these things have a way of spreading if not contained or eradicated. I am wondering have you had any recent experience with a virus that caused you to alter your life in any way or to take precautions that you otherwise hadn't?
