They evacuated Topanga Cyn so it's probably pretty close. We can smell the smoke here in Santa Clarita. The weather is "June Gloom" and the hight today is 68 with 86% humidity so hoping they can get a handle on it.

Mulholland is a LONG stretch of road divided into two sections, Mulholland Highway and Mulholland Road.

The fire would be closer to Mulholland Highway

It’s going to be a long and bad fire season.

Replacing eucalyptus with indigenous redwoods and others will go a long way afaik.
They prevent landslides and flooding.
Also regulate local temps by holding tons of water.

Plus controlled burns to limit kindling. The forestry service stopped those.

Never happen, that makes sense...

As of last night, I think Mul Hwy was still open. Only Topanga Cyn was closed between Mul and PCH. We got ash over in Sherman Oaks, probably 15 miles away.

I remarked to Mrs. Noah, thank goodness we didn't buy that house I was looking at off of Topanga last summer. That was one of her biggest misgivings about living in that area.
