But they are getting infected and seriously ill, some do die from it.

So it's not just < 50 folks that get sick and die from it. That's just not true.

First of all, I don't think the masks are what make the difference, keeping to yourself is.
If everybody had kept to themselves for 2 full weeks.. the virus would not have been able to spread.

You do realize that a virus cannot spread, at all, unless humans come into contact, right? You don't need a vaccine to beat this if everybody has the discipline for just a few weeks.

The alternative is no discipline and well we've been at it for a year and the hospitals are still working overtime treating patients. But i'm sure some people will call that a hoax..

So, if one young person per State ran into serious problems last year, but this year 2 young persons per State ran into serious problems... THAT is a 100% increase!
And if 1000 old people died per State with CV last year, and only 800 died this year... Clearly the big problem is the increase of young people having problems.:rolleyes:

If you read that closely you will see that the percentage of hospitalizations are now younger. That is true. Though, when you look at the data the actual number of hospitalizations has decreased in all age demographics. The highly vaccinated older folks have seen hospitalizations drop by over 80%. The lower vaccinated age groups have seen a far lower decline in hospitalizations.

Part of the problem is that there are people like some of my in-laws who don't believe COVID is real.
