The Unsettler
|
Had a freind who thought it was a great idea to WD40 the **** out of his inboard. While it seemed logical to him that it would help protect the motor he didn’t quite, like many things, think it through.
Queue first day out on the sound with it and he ties up in our little flotilla. His bilge kicks in and pretty soon there is a slick surrounding all of us. We untie him and move him along. From that day on he was referred to as The Exxon Valdez. The mocking and shame made him clean up his act. So whenever the opportunity arises to discuss neighbors dock just refer to it as Exxon Valdez in a light hearted way but you need to get everyone in your circle to go along. Won’t help for this year but may make him be more careful in the future.

No problem flatbutt, I buy it by the five gallon bucket. I put it in a hand pump sprayer or an old weed spray with an electric spray tip. It's great on the driveway for oil spills, in the engine compartment of a boat or vehicle. degreasing parts, cleaning my hands, etc.
